The collective reading of poems by Rozhdestvensky concluded the event of the "World of Poetry" series at the National Centre RUSSIA
The "World of Poetry" series, as part of the author's project of the National Centre RUSSIA "Masterpieces. The Best of Russia," continued on May 11 with the interactive creative meeting "Speak Like Rozhdestvensky." This event, aimed at popularising the legacy of the classic of Russian literature, brought together participants of all ages.
The event was divided into three parts. The host of "Radio 7 on Seven Hills," participant of the All-Russian Movement "Inspirationist" Denis Lizin, presented the guests with his own lecture, "Rozhdestvensky and the 20th Century." He spoke about the poet's influence on Russian literature, his contribution to the development of theatrical art, and the reflection of the ideas of the era. Special attention in the lecture was paid to the personality traits and little-known facts from the poet’s life.
"Today we tried to reveal something little known about a very famous person. Because you can read huge articles about him, or you can see him as a truly real human being. And it is precisely how and through what he went, and how he achieved all this — that, probably, is the most interesting. Therefore, my lecture is not so much about poetry as about the personal path of Robert Rozhdestvensky, and this path we could walk together with the audience," said Denis Lizin.
Between the segments of the lecture, with musical accompaniment, Artem Smirnov—actor, educator, representative of the Federal News Service, member of the Union of Journalists of Moscow — performed poetry by Robert Rozhdestvensky.
"The younger generation does not always understand the meanings and values embedded in the poetry of Robert Rozhdestvensky. They reflect the Motherland, love for nature, patriotism, certain sacred ideas. That's why it is so important to convey these meanings, to communicate to young people that this is very necessary, valuable, to give them certain emotions. And in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, this is even more relevant," said Artem Smirnov.
During the interactive workshop "Speech Accents," speech expert, dubbing actress, and creator of the largest online project in the CIS "Voice Can" Seda Kasparova spoke about the importance of strength, timbre, purity, intonation, and other voice characteristics for effective communication. She demonstrated a series of techniques for forming beautiful, imaginative speech. Special attention was paid to how emotional attitude influences the success of a performance.
"In order to successfully speak in public, it is very important to want to communicate with this audience, and this fundamentally influences both the structure of the narration itself and how the person prepares for the performance and their engagement with the audience. Therefore, I think the first and most important thing is what state I want to be in when I go out to the people, what aftertaste I want to leave. And this applies not only to performances on stage, but also to personal communication. Even at home, we also perform publicly, so speech must captivate, help to communicate some key ideas," noted Seda Kasparova.
The event ended with a flash mob — a collective vocal "warm-up" and an expressive reading of one of the most famous poems by Robert Rozhdestvensky, "My Motherland."
The creative meeting "Speak Like Rozhdestvensky" became the second event of the "World of Poetry" series within the framework of the "Masterpieces. The Best of Russia" project. It was created by the National Centre RUSSIA to raise the level of culture among the population, to form a sense of pride in the country’s achievements, and to strengthen family traditions through art. The new project is intended to integrate classical works into a modern context, to unite various forms of art to increase their accessibility and attractiveness, and to support the creativity of contemporary authors.
