Comfort, dialogue, opportunities: Leonid Yarmolnik on the role of the National Centre RUSSIA in the regions
The
National Centre RUSSIA is steadily expanding its network of regional branches. The first opened in the Primorye region, with new sites also launched in the
Krasnoyarsk region and Yugra. The regional branches of the National Centre
RUSSIA are becoming key venues for business meetings and educational
initiatives. Visitors can spend time with their families and discover new and
useful things. This view was shared by actor and producer Leonid Yarmolnik, who
visited the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow.
"There
is a comfortable environment here where people can come together. Issues that
matter to us are easier to resolve in this setting. Sometimes people are
frustrated that certain things exist in the capital but not in the regions. We
would like our regional cities and regions to become more like Moscow — so that
life there is just as comfortable and fulfilling. Many people believe that, in
order to succeed and face real competition, they have to move to Moscow. But
the more such centres there are, the less need there will be to relocate,"
Leonid Yarmolnik said.
The
development of branches of the National Centre RUSSIA helps establish direct
dialogue between the state, society and the regions, while also giving
residents access to cultural, educational and business initiatives without the
need to move to the capital.
