The National Centre RUSSIA to present Russian-made goods abroad for the first time
From 20 to 22 April 2026, the International Industrial Exposition "INNOPROM. Central Asia" will be held in Tashkent. The National Centre RUSSIA will take part in an international event abroad for the first time. The exposition will feature one of the Centre’s flagship projects — the Department Store RUSSIA. The stand will showcase goods from Russian manufacturers across different regions of the country. This will allow international audiences to discover the diversity of Russian brands and products.
The Department Store exposition will be centred on the image of the merchant class — a symbolic intertwining of cultures and peoples. Decorative elements of the stand (window shutters, a tiled roof, regional patterns, beads, and natural materials) will convey the richness and vast cultural legacy of the country’s regions. Ornaments and decorative compositions will also highlight the shared cultural elements of Russia and Uzbekistan.
The stand will present goods across six categories: "Delicacies", "Accessories", "Folk Arts and Crafts", "Cosmetics", "Tableware", and a special clothing collection featuring quotes by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. In total, products from more than 50 manufacturers from Russian regions will be on display. Together, they will create a space filled with history, meaning, and impressions.
Exclusively for the exposition "INNOPROM. Central Asia", the Department Store will present a special collection of traditional roly-poly dolls. The selected colour combinations and ornamental painting are inspired by traditional Uzbek costume. The collection will serve as a symbol of the unity of the cultures of Russia and Uzbekistan, the connection between generations, and respect for tradition.
The space of the Department Store RUSSIA will also host a series of events dedicated to showcasing regional crafts. Artisans from the Orenburg Region, the Kirov Region, and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra will demonstrate the process of shaping an Orenburg down shawl, painting Dymkovo toys, sewing a fur pouch, and crafting items from buckskin.
On 20 April at 15:30, the panel discussion "Dialogue of Generations: Tradition as a Fashion Trend", to be held in the "Samarkand" Hall with the National Centre RUSSIA as a partner, will explore how cultural identity influences product competitiveness, what export potential traditional goods have, and how they can be used to build international dialogue.
In 2025, the National Centre RUSSIA also took part in INNOPROM in Yekaterinburg, where the Department Store RUSSIA was presented. The exposition was organised into four thematic areas: "Groceries", "Accessories", "Folk Arts and Crafts", and "Cosmetics".
The exposition "INNOPROM. Central Asia" will bring together representatives from 35 countries, including Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan, and others. More than 11,000 visitors and over 500 exporting companies are expected to attend, with around 20 business programme events planned.
The Department Store RUSSIA has no usual tourist fridge magnets, but there are souvenirs with an authentically Russian character here.
The New Year Market at Department Store RUSSIA showed that interest in local brands continues to grow.
