Climate control and high-tech: Chechnya at the RUSSIA EXPO
On the Day of the Region at the country's main Exposition, Chechen State University named after Akhmat Kadyrov presented one of the first carbon polygons in Russia. Carbon polygons are areas with a unique ecosystem where research on climate change is conducted. The guests were also introduced to the republic's achievements in other sectors.
The region's results were commented on by Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, who, together with State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov, examined the republic's exposition.
"I want to note that the Chechen Republic is of great interest: its history and culture, which are presented here at the RUSSIA EXPO. We see that there are a lot of visitors, that so many people are interested in the achievements of the Chechen Republic, and most importantly, there is great interest in the way it will develop in the future, since today it is indeed one of the most dynamically developing regions", — Alexander Novak said and emphasized that today Chechnya is a safe place with a high level of development and investment.
Chairman of the Government of the Chechen Republic Muslim Khuchiev addressed the guests with a welcoming address on behalf of the head of the region, Hero of Russia Ramzan Kadyrov.
"Thanks to the support of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and assistance from the federal authorities, we have managed to emerge from a deep crisis in a short time and become one of the safest and most dynamically developing regions of the country. The Chechen Republic today holds leading positions in many federal ratings and is working on further economic development of the region and improving the quality of life", — Ramzan Kadyrov's message reads.
The regional stand featured a detailed presentation of Chechnya's achievements over the past six years. The region has seen an increase in investment, and tourist traffic has surged: just in the first nine months of this year it grew by 42%.
The Pedagogical University demonstrated author's board and computer games and an innovative educational technology — a puzzle-map of the Chechen Republic. The Grozny Petroleum Technical University named after Millionshchikov showed a model of an intelligent solar power plant developed by young scientists of the university. The Academy of Sciences of the Republic also presented the results of its work.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. The International RUSSIA EXPO is held at VDNH in Moscow from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024.
