"Winged Swings": lines of poet Yury Entin will come to life at the National Centre RUSSIA
The National Centre RUSSIA invites you to the interactive event "World of Poetry: Speak like Entin", which will take place on 24 August as part of the cycle "Masterpieces. The Best of Russia". Guests of the meeting will discover the country’s poetic legacy through the work of the outstanding poet Yury Entin.
Yury Entin is the author of numerous children’s songs that have become part of the cultural heritage of several generations. Among his most famous works are: "The Beautiful Faraway", "If There Were No Winter", "Winged Swings", "I Want to Fly", "The Robbers’ Song", "The Golden Sunray", "The Forest Deer", "Chunga-Changa", "The Song of the Bremen Town Musicians", "You Are a Human Being". These compositions have gained wide recognition both in Russia and abroad.
In addition to his poetry, Yury Entin is also the scriptwriter of a number of popular animated films, including the trilogy about the Bremen Town Musicians, "The Blue Puppy", "Bang-Bang, Oh-Oh-Oh!" and others.
The programme of the event at the National Centre RUSSIA will include several formats: a lecture-journey through the author’s work with a demonstration of his key pieces, a performance by artists with a medley of the poet’s most famous songs, as well as a flash mob, which will create a special atmosphere and become the emotional highlight of the evening.
A distinctive feature of the project is its interactive character. Participants will not only get acquainted with poetry but also take an active part in the creative process and discover a new interpretation of iconic works.
The event is part of the large-scale poetic cycle "World of Poetry", aimed at presenting Russia’s rich literary heritage through the synthesis of art and modern interactive technologies.
