The name of the ceremony — "Romanov-style wedding" — reminds the audience of the history of Romanov Gorodishche. From this village in the Lipetsk region came the "Romantsy" and "Romanushki" — with their own traditions, rituals and costumes.

The wedding, as it should be, was celebrated with songs and ditties, "crying" and "calling" of the bride. According to tradition, the bride and groom tied their hands with a towel for a happy life together. The young couple received a blessing from their parents and a special gift: a souvenir blue Romanov deer — a symbol of loyalty and a strong family.

The bride, Sofia Sinelnikova, graduated with honors from the Lipetsk branch of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. The girl is an activist of youth and volunteer movement and the author of the social project Hearing Hearts. Mikhail Telegin, the groom, won the international contest of infomation and communication technologies in 2022 and today serves in the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Lipetsk region.

"We do not depart from our traditions, they are always with us, although a bit in a modern way. For example, in addition to my wedding dress, today I am wearing a traditional kokoshnik, and my veil is decorated with linden trees. We are very pleased that so many guests came to support us — colleagues, relatives and guests of the RUSSIA EXPO. And, of course, we are very happy that our parents congratulated us on this solemn day" — said the bride.

"Insanely touching ceremony, I literally restrained myself not to cry", — admitted the groom.

One of the funniest ceremonial moments was «releasing a live chicken." The chicken was used to judge the character of the future mother of the family: if it was calm, the wife would be quiet and docile, and if the bird started running and clucking, it meant that the wife would have a temper.

The traditional ceremony was conducted by regional folklore ensembles Vera and Drevo. The "Romanov-style wedding" ended with the official registration of the marriage, and, of course, according to tradition, the newlyweds were congratulated by the guests of honor.

"I truly wish that you could carry that love, those feelings, tenderness and sincerity through your long and happy life and be able to share them with your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All the best to you, be happy, and, of course, forever remember this important and responsible moment, which today is shared with you by so many guests", — said Olga Beloglazova, Vice-Governor of the Lipetsk region.

"I congratulate you and your parents on this truly important day in your lives, and wish that your love will only grow stronger and stronger over the years, that your home will be warm, and that you will have children as beautiful as you are", — added Project Manager of the of the ANO «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"» Yulia Stoyanova.
