Lipetsk region showed a "Romanov-style" wedding ceremony to the guests of the Exposition
The name of
the ceremony —
The
wedding, as it should be, was celebrated with songs and ditties,
"crying" and "calling" of the bride. According to
tradition, the bride and groom tied their hands with a towel for a happy life
together. The young couple received a blessing from their parents and a special
gift: a souvenir blue Romanov deer — a symbol of loyalty and a strong family.
The bride,
Sofia Sinelnikova, graduated with honors from the Lipetsk branch of the Russian
Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. The girl is an activist
of youth and volunteer movement and the author of the social project Hearing
Hearts. Mikhail Telegin, the groom, won the international contest of infomation
and communication technologies in 2022 and today serves in the Department of
the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Lipetsk region.
"We do
not depart from our traditions, they are always with us, although a bit in a
modern way. For example, in addition to my wedding dress, today I am wearing a
traditional kokoshnik, and my veil is decorated with linden trees. We are very
pleased that so many guests came to support us — colleagues, relatives and
guests of the RUSSIA EXPO. And, of course, we are very happy that our parents
congratulated us on this solemn day" — said the bride.
"Insanely
touching ceremony, I literally restrained myself not to cry", — admitted
the groom.
One of the
funniest ceremonial moments was «releasing a live chicken." The
chicken was used to judge the character of the future mother of the family: if
it was calm, the wife would be quiet and docile, and if the bird started
running and clucking, it meant that the wife would have a temper.
The
traditional ceremony was conducted by regional folklore ensembles Vera and
Drevo. The "
