The Literary Club "What to Read?!" at the National Centre RUSSIA to discuss a book by Margarita Simonyan
The National Centre RUSSIA invites visitors to a meeting of the Literary Club "What to Read?!" on 13 December. The event will be dedicated to the novel by the Editor-in-Chief of the RT television channel, the Rossiya Segodnya media group and the Sputnik news agency, Margarita Simonyan, titled "In the Beginning Was the Word — in the End There Will Be the Digit". In the novel, the author reflects on how to preserve faith, love and human dignity in an age when technology increasingly replaces meaning itself.
The meeting will traditionally be hosted by the Head of the Academic Council of the Centre for Political Conjuncture and Professor at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Alexei Chesnakov. Other speakers at the event will include the Editor-in-Chief of REGNUM news agency, writer and member of the Human Rights Council, Marina Akhmedova, as well as the Editor-in-Chief of Literaturnaya Gazeta, prose writer and poet, Maxim Zamshev.
During the meeting of the Literary Club at the National Centre RUSSIA, the key themes and ideas of the novel will be discussed, including its philosophical and moral motifs. The discussion will address, among other things:
— How will the world change if it comes to be governed by artificial intelligence?
— How do biblical stories relate to our reality?
— How do people’s actions, their faith, life values, good and evil, sins and virtues shape the future?
