Mendeleev’s favorite dish and record breaking in construction: the Tyumen region at the RUSSIA EXPO
Record breaking construction figures, a significant increase in tourist traffic, as well as favorite dishes of famous Tyumen personalities. The region that ranks third in the country in terms of quality of life — the Tyumen region — presented itself at the RUSSIA EXPO.
In 2022 alone, 2 million 245 thousand square meters of housing were built in the Tyumen region, and more than three thousand kilometers of roads were upgraded. Moreover, the tourist flow in the region has grown 1.5 times over the last five years. In 2022, more than 3.3 million tourists visited there.
"The residents of the region are grateful to Russian President Vladimir Putin for the opportunities for development that were given to all regions, including the Tyumen region. We have taken advantage of them. For example, on the instructions of the head of state, we have started to work hard to preserve the cultural heritage of Tobolsk. Today, the old capital of the region is rightfully considered the pearl of Siberia" — said Governor Alexander Moor.
At the RUSSIA EXPO, Tyumen was presented not only as the first Russian city in Siberia. The guests of the exposition were also told about the achievements in neurosurgery. And one of the key events was the final of the high-tech startup selection.
Chefs cooked dishes that were loved by famous natives of the Tyumen region — Dmitry Mendeleev, Grigory Rasputin and Pyotr Ershov. The entertainment program included the KVN team Soyuz, the Helios Fire and Light Theater and other artists.
It should be reminded that the RUSSIA EXPO is open from Tuesday through Sunday, Monday is a technical day. The best time to visit is in the mornings and on weekdays, but the exposition is open to everyone on weekends as well. All expositions and events are free of charge.
