"Love and Unity": the main New Year tree of the RUSSIA EXPO lit up at VDNH
At the International RUSSIA EXPO, the main fir tree of the New Year tree gallery sparkled with lights - it symbolizes the RUSSIA EXPO, the unification of traditions of the peoples of our multinational country.
"This 20-meter beauty was brought from the Kaluga region. We decorated the tree together, with the whole country - all 89 regions of Russia took part in it. Each region made a toy that represents it", — said Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the ANO «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"».
On the Main Alley of VDNH, visitors are greeted by New Year fir trees, each representing a region of the country. The decor of the fir tree, which personifies Russia, features stylized products of folk crafts from all over the country. Classic ornaments of the peoples of the Caucasus, Krestetsky stitching, Yelets ornaments. The tree is also decorated with symbolic toys: Dinoterra Kuzbass festival, a tumbling toy from the Tambov region, a nightingale from the Kursk region, a Romanushka doll from Lipetsk, an Evenki girl with a reindeer from the Amur region and many other original decorations telling about the crafts of the peoples of Russia.
Another decor accent is the Exposition's signature hearts. They symbolize unity and love - for Russia, each region, city and individual.
"All 89 regions took part in this wonderful bright New Year's Eve event. We dressed up this incredible miracle together with the whole country. We are all united and we all love our Motherland very much", — said Natalia Virtuozova.
After the exposition the fir trees will be planted near the VDNH.
