Local traditions in a modern format: Department Store at the Vladivostok branch of the National Centre RUSSIA
The
Vladivostok branch of the National Centre RUSSIA is being created as a
multifunctional space that combines interactive technologies, business
activity, and the cultural heritage of the region. One of the key areas will be
the Department Store — a venue showcasing the best products from the Primorye
region and the Russian Far East.
Within an
80-square-meter area, guests will find works by local artisans, natural
products, designer collections, and contemporary brands inspired by regional
traditions. Visitors will be able to purchase Primorye honey, wild plant-based
dietary supplements, handmade jewelry, textiles, tableware, tea collections,
and more. The unique feature of the Department Store is its carefully curated
selection, combining authentic craft techniques with current trends. The
producers featured here carefully preserve centuries-old technologies and
reinterpret them in modern formats.
The focus
will be on seasonality and special events: the assortment will be regularly
updated to reflect holidays, the time of year, and activities of the National
Centre branch. This will enable visitors not only to purchase quality goods,
but also to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural code of Primorye
through its material heritage.
International
Recognition: Success at INNOPROM-2025
The
Department Store of the National Centre RUSSIA has already proven to be in
demand on the international stage. In July 2025, the project was showcased at
INNOPROM-2025, the largest industrial exposition in Yekaterinburg, where it
attracted significant interest from both professionals and the general public.
The stand,
uniting about 100 producers from 46 regions of Russia, became one of the most
visited areas of the exposition. Over four days, it welcomed more than 2,000
guests, with every second visitor making a purchase. This result clearly
demonstrated the high demand for quality local products.
The
Department Store stand was visited by Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail
Mishustin, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and
Trade Anton Alikhanov, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Urals Federal
District Artem Zhoga, and other distinguished guests.
On July 9,
during a visit by the official delegation of INNOPROM-2025’s partner country —
Saudi Arabia — to the Department Store stand of the National Centre RUSSIA, VIP
guests proposed that Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the National
Centre RUSSIA, present Russian products at INNOPROM-2026 in Riyadh. This
proposal was a direct response to the impressive success of the exposition.
The
Vladivostok branch of the National Centre RUSSIA is set to open in early
September. It will feature an interactive regional exposition, a department
store of local products, a gastronomic zone, and coworking spaces. The branch
will also serve as a venue for business and socially significant events.
On July 31, at 18:00, the National Centre RUSSIA will host the lecture "Transport Architecture of Russia" with art scholar and architecture historian Yelizaveta Likhacheva.
Traditionally, Mondays at the National Centre RUSSIA are reserved for technical maintenance.
The discussion will focus on the key issues of shaping the modern architectural legacy and the role of the state in this process.
