about how best to build one's path in the movie industry, what professions are
in demand now, as well as what specialty to choose and where to study.
"The
movie industry is, of course, a part of the real sector of the economy. And the
main thing to realize is that it is first and foremost a production, just like
the production of cars or sausage. There are a huge number of stages that
accompany any other production: development, marketing, distribution and so on.
There are a lot of specialists who work in cinema," Natalia Klibanova,
chief producer of the Amedia Production film company, member of the Association
of Film and Television Producers, member of the Board of Trustees of WRAP
(Association of Women Film Producers), told the audience at the creative meeting.
The speaker
said that nowadays cinematography is developing very actively in the regions.
Last year Natalia Klibanova traveled from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad, where there
is a large number of pitchings for aspiring filmmakers who have seriously
decided to pursue this profession.
The head of the KinoKot International Film Festival, theater and film actor, film director Artem Ivanov said that the festival was born in Voronezh: "Kitten from Lizyukova Street" is a trademark of the city. Artem came up with the name together with his older brother.
"We hold today's event as part of the week of culture in Sber. The festival's mission is to discover new names, to help develop, to give a platform for promotion. We can introduce young filmmakers to producers, to famous directors, we help organize film screenings. And in this way we give them a start in life," the organizer said about the event.
