Maxim Oreshkin will speak about megatrends of global transformation at the January Expert Dialogues at the National Centre RUSSIA
On 30 January, the January Expert Dialogues will be held for the first time at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth", with the participation of leading international experts. The keynote speaker will be the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation, Maxim Oreshkin.
The January Expert Dialogues are held with the support of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation in partnership with the Intersectoral Expertise Centre "Third Rome". The format will bring together a series of lectures and a new media product — a podcast series, OD on Air. Podcast episodes will be available on the websites of the Open Dialogue and the National Centre RUSSIA, making it possible to continue the discussion of megatrends beyond the venue.
One of the key events will be Maxim Oreshkin’s address devoted to five megatrends shaping the trajectory of global development over the coming decade:
Sovereignty as an economic factor. Why control over standards, platforms, and critical supply chains matters more than formal participation in global institutions.
Platforms and a new level of automation. How the modern economy is moving from automation of labour to automation of institutions.
Digital currencies as the core of financial architecture transformation. How the business model of financial institutions is changing.
Global demographic imbalance. Why demography is ceasing to be a "background" factor and is becoming a key constraint on development.
Human transformation in a new technological era. How the technological transition is reshaping the architecture of the labour market and, as a result, a person’s life path.
In addition, experts will discuss topics such as a new phase of globalisation, global demographic shifts, and their significance. Participants will not only broaden their perspectives but also gain practical tools for understanding and adapting to changes in the economy, society, and technology.
Lectures will be delivered by prominent international experts — economists, practitioners, and visionaries from the United States, China, Singapore, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates, whose ideas and forecasts influence the formation of tomorrow’s agenda.
