"Scale and excellent infrastructure": foreign guests shared their impressions of the National Centre RUSSIA
The annual International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues concluded at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The three-day international dialogue, chaired by Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu, brought together 126 delegations from 105 countries that are members of BRICS, the SCO, ASEAN, the CIS, the League of Arab States, the African Union, the CSTO, and other international organisations.
Guests shared their impressions of visiting Moscow, the National Centre RUSSIA, and the large-scale expositions featured in the venue.
Head of the delegation from East Timor, Henrique da Costa, noted that the National Centre RUSSIA had made an enormous impression on him.
"This vast space was excellently prepared for such a major international event. A great number of people gathered here, and yet an excellent infrastructure was established," Henrique da Costa emphasised.
He said that the delegation from East Timor had explored the expositions at the National Centre RUSSIA, where they saw samples of Russian weaponry and IT developments, as well as equipment from the Second World War.
"It’s amazing how you have preserved all this evidence for future generations. Russia has a rich history and can be proud of the heroes who fought for your country and your people," Henrique da Costa remarked.
A member of the Libyan delegation, Nader Ibrahim Khalifa Elhariani Bushnaf, said that this was his second visit to Russia.
"The National Centre RUSSIA is a remarkable place. We were impressed by the scale. I would especially like to note that Russians are very polite and kind people, always ready to help. Moscow is a city with a rich history, and we enjoyed walking around it," shared Nader Ibrahim Khalifa Elhariani Bushnaf.
During the plenary session on security, 60 reports were delivered. Over the course of three days, the Russian delegation held more than 80 bilateral meetings. Additionally, four multilateral meetings took place in the formats of "BRICS countries, the CIS, the SCO, and Russia – ASEAN." Foreign partners also held more than 40 bilateral meetings with one another at the National Centre RUSSIA.
