Mobile content creation workshops from the National Centre RUSSIA are available to everyone
The National Centre RUSSIA has prepared a series of workshops as part of the All-Russian video essay contest "Dreams of the Future." Practical sessions led by top industry experts are available on the official website dream.russia.ru in the "Workshops" section.
Anyone interested can access five sessions on various topics. They cover different forms of mobile content creation — from script development to shooting techniques. This way, workshop participants can go through the full process of producing a video. Experts share proven methods and practical tips on screenwriting and explain the significance of video storytelling as a powerful tool of influence.
Five sessions are available on the website dream.russia.ru on the following topics:
"Within the Coordinates of Science Fiction: Why Are Sci-Fi Writers Able to Foresee the Future? An Analysis of Current Trends and Their Impact on Society";
"Secrets of Screenwriting: From Concept to Shooting";
"What to Film? How to Find a Relevant Topic and Turn It into a Captivating Storyline";
"Screenwriting Creativity: Tell Your Story!";
"No Camera Needed: A Quick Dive into Mobile Content Creation".
The first session focuses on the role of science fiction in the modern world. The second explores script structure, the creation of a protagonist and antagonist, and key plot turning points. The third explains how to choose the right author for the future storyline and determine the genre that best reveals the chosen literary work. The fourth workshop covers screenwriting creativity — where to find ideas for scripts and how to format them properly to engage viewers. The fifth is dedicated to mobile content creation, including techniques that do not require professional equipment.
The contest "Dreams of the Future" continues the work of reviving society’s interest in designing the future, a mission that began at the International Symposium "Inventing the Future." The project aims to inspire young people to reflect on what lies ahead and introduce them to the works of science fiction writers. Participants were required to create a video essay beginning with the words "We want to create a future where..." and to reference at least one science fiction work from the recommended reading list.
The contest is held as part of the Decade of Science and Technology with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Movement of the First, the Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs in Science and Education under the Presidential Council for Science and Education of the Russian Federation, the Russian State Library for Young Adults, the Council for Science Fiction and Adventure Literature of the Union of Writers of Russia, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the ANO "ArtMasters," the ANO "Russia – Land of Opportunity," the All-Russian festival "NAUKA 0+," the ANO "Innovation Centre for the Development and Upbringing of Children and Youth" and the technological conference Startup Village, the National Cyber-Physical Platform "Berloga."
Young participants of the workshop "Modelling — a Prototype with Your Own Hands," held on May 31 at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The history of Russian architecture, bold concepts, and Soviet urban planning projects realised across the globe were presented to delegations of the exposition on May 31.
The award ceremony for the winners of the All-Russian video essay contest "Dreams of the Future" will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA on June 1, International Children's Day.
