Honey, tourism and drones: Bashkortostan Day at the RUSSIA EXPO
The Day of the Republic of Bashkortostan has been launched at the International RUSSIA EXPO. Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov presented the region's achievements in industry, energy, drone technologies, culture and art. The exposition takes place on the territory of VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to April 12.
"Bashkortostan is talented and rich. You can say a lot about the Republic - but its most important asset is its people, a huge multinational nation. You remember the words of the President that in Bashkortostan as in a drop of water, our whole Russia with its diversity of cultures, religions, languages and friendship is reflected", — the head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov emphasized at the RUSSIA EXPO.
He also noted the Republic's international cooperation with the CIS, SCO and BRICS countries and spoke about its unique tourist potential, thanks to which Bashkortostan is rightfully considered one of the country's health resorts.
Today Bashkortostan is considered one of the leading regions in terms of economic development and innovation potential. This is achieved largely thanks to the creative labor of its inhabitants, noted Russian President Vladimir Putin. Thanks to the implementation of a number of initiatives of the head of state, the development of the republic has received an additional impetus. Within the framework of the national project "Science and Education" in Bashkortostan, an interuniversity student campus of the world-class Eurasian Scientific and Educational Center for 4.3 thousand students is being built. The campus will become a center of attraction and integration of enterprises, scientific and educational institutions, creating comfortable conditions for study and research work.
The President of Russia pays special attention to the development of transport infrastructure. The largest project is the construction of the Eastern exit, which will connect the central part of Ufa with the federal highway M-5 Ural. This will significantly improve the transportation accessibility of Ufa and open up new logistical opportunities. Bashkortostan was also among the 11 regions of the country that joined the pilot project to create research and production centers for unmanned aircraft systems. Today, Bashkortostan is home to three manufacturers of civilian unmanned aircraft systems that produce thousands of units annually. The creation of the research and production center will help expand the technological potential of the region and create new jobs.
A rich cultural program has been organized for the visitors of the RUSSIA EXPO as part of the Day of the Republic of Bashkortostan: celebration of the winter Bashkir Sabantuy, the Terra Winter festival with a greeting by the Bashkir Ded Moroz or Grandfather Frost Kysh Babai, a performance by opera singer Askar Abdrazakov, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Among the prepared treats are the national dish bishbarmak, honey, sweet chak-chak and kumys.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. The International RUSSIA EXPO is held at VDNH in Moscow from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024.
