The place where a dream is born: young visitors of the "Time of the First" exposition were inspired to study space
For many
children, a visit to the "Time of the First" exposition at National
Centre RUSSIA became something special. The kids shared that here they not only
learned something new but also formulated their own dream. Particularly often,
young visitors left with the desire to become cosmonauts, inspired by the great
pioneers of space.
The
"Time of the First" exposition is an interactive route that allows
one to embark on a cosmic journey, get acquainted with great scientific
discoveries, and reflect on the future. Inside, the space is divided into
several zones. First, guests found themselves in a cosmodrome, where they were
greeted by Alisa — the heroine of a work by the famous science fiction writer
Kir Bulychev. She became their personal guide through the exposition.
Participants
in the tour, in a hall styled like a spaceship, learned more about the
universes of science fiction writers. Alice told them about their works, ideas,
and dreams, and invited them to consider what they themselves want most and how
they envision the future of their Motherland.
From the
spaceship, guests entered a scientific laboratory where children’s favorite
characters — the Fixies — told them about the inventions of Russian scientists
that made the world a better place. The final hall is a futuristic eco-space.
Currently,
the exposition is temporarily unavailable — the second floor of National Centre
RUSSIA is closed for renovation. In an expanded format, the exposition will
open in March.
