Foreign partners are showing increasing interest in cooperation with Russia despite the current restrictions. The Russian Federation, for its part, is open to honest dialogue and mutually beneficial trade. Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, spoke about the success of exporting domestic products. He made a speech at the plenary session "Russia to the World. Building Trust, Developing Global Connections" at the National Centre RUSSIA.

"The geography of the participants has been expanding every year. Representatives from nearly 100 countries have already gathered here, which indicates a very high interest in cooperation with our country. We are open to honest dialogue and mutually beneficial trade. Of course, we have something to offer our international partners. As part of this event, a large-scale display of a number of advanced developments and innovative products made by leading domestic companies was organized at the National Centre RUSSIA," the Prime Minister said.

Mikhail Mishustin noted that the "Made in Russia" International Export Forum has become a traditional platform for the exchange of opinions, business cooperation, and the search for new solutions. According to him, entrepreneurs and foreign partners are interested in them.

"The main purpose of exports is to serve as a catalyst for the renewal of economic sectors, stimulate the growth of enterprise efficiency, and create modern, well-paid jobs here in Russia. Such priorities are in the focus of attention of the federal centre, regional authorities, and our development institutions," he stressed.

Despite external pressure from unfriendly countries, according to the Ministry of Economic Development, non-primary non-energy exports in the first half of 2025 provided more than 12% of the gross domestic product, Mikhail Mishustin said. At the same time, the share of the national currency in payments for goods and services has already exceeded 50%. As the Head of Government noted, this further strengthens the economy, stimulates the growth of investments and entrepreneurial activity.

"It is important that in the context of the ongoing sanctions restrictions against our country, the demand for products made in Russia remains. There is a reorientation towards more promising markets of the Eurasian Economic Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the BRICS association, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Cooperation with the countries of Asia, Africa, and Latin America is intensifying. Exports in these areas have been steadily growing over the past four years. If in 2021 it was only 44% of the total, then in 2024 it exceeded 85%. It's almost a twofold increase. This trend keeps on going this year," Mikhail Mishustin emphasized.

A new logistics system is being actively developed for this purpose, he noted. In particular, Russia continues to develop international transport corridors in the southern and eastern directions. Mikhail Mishustin said that Russian goods are bought not only by partners, but also by unfriendly countries. In the first half of the year, they spent $25.5 billion on energy supplies, fertilizers, nuclear fuel, metals, fish, seafood, and more.

Russia received more than 2 trillion rubles for the supply of machine-building products to foreign markets. In the first seven months of 2025, the volume of exports of this industry increased by more than a third, Mikhail Mishustin noted. In particular, we are talking about solutions for the electric power industry, for the oil and gas production and transportation sectors, and rail transport.

"Our biotechnologies, vaccines, medicines, and organic products are well known in the world. This, of course, contributes to the development of competitive industries in the regions and strengthens cross-industry cooperation. In general, it makes a significant contribution to strengthening the technological leadership of our country. Serious achievements in this area are largely the result of balanced decisions. The key task is to increase the volume of non-primary non-energy exports over six years by 66% to the level of 2023," the Prime Minister stressed.

The "Made in Russia" national brand has become an important tool, Mikhail Mishustin noted. The main task is to make the products recognizable, well-known to foreign buyers, and associated with high quality. Foreign infrastructure is being developed for these purposes. It already includes dozens of stores that operate online. These are also showcasing pavilions that operate in six countries: China, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

"It is important that partners have the opportunity to personally verify the high consumer properties of Russian products. And this is a serious step for building interaction, for arousing interest, including in our culture, sports, and communication. It is everything that shows the willingness of the state to cooperate, and contributes to the development of strong and mutually beneficial foreign trade and production chains," Mikhail Mishustin added.

The XIII "Made in Russia" International Export Forum has been held annually since 2012 (with the exception of 2018). The status of the Forum was established by Government Decree No. 572 "On the Establishment of the All-Russian Award in the Field of International Cooperation and Export "Exporter of the Year" and the holding of the International Export Forum "Made in Russia", dated 8 May 2019.

"Platforms like this forum provide feedback on all key decisions. Your opinions, activity in discussions and specific suggestions that will be made here are in great demand. Without a doubt, they will be taken into account when planning and implementing programmes on the domestic industries development and, in general, when clarifying the main approaches to increasing our export potential," the Prime Minister explained.

The Forum is a platform for a dialogue among representatives of business, the scientific community, and government authorities, where the key issues of the domestic production development and the Russian exports promotion are discussed. The Forum is organised by the Russian Export Centre (VEB.RF Group).
