Young people were told how to be a leader and build a "dream team"

From April 23 to 28, the RUSSIA EXPO is hosting Senezh Management Workshop Week of the presidential platform "Russia - Land of Opportunity" dedicated to leadership and management technologies in various spheres. On April 24, as part of the extensive program of educational events of the Week, the "Home of Youth" Pavilion hosted a lecture "Leadership", which was delivered by Sergei Bocharov, First Vice-Rector of the Senezh Management Workshop.

The lecture was based on practical knowledge and real stories. The event was held in the format of a live dialog with the listeners.

"One wise man taught me that when you come to an audience, you have to engage people in a shared idea. After all, there is a smart person and there is a wise person, and there is a big difference between them, as we know. It is the same with leadership: it can be formal, but it can be quite different — leadership that is lived as an experience, that comes out through the heart, and therefore is visible to everyone. Therefore, the purpose of our communication is not to get a formulation of leadership, but to try to share the leadership experience of everyone, to see the model of leadership behavior, to understand what a leader should do and what he definitely shouldn't," said Sergei Bocharov.

The lecture guests discussed how to improve corporate culture, identify key growth areas and create a dream team where everyone is in their place. And, of course, the meeting participants discussed how and who can manage and lead people.

"Leadership, by and large, is about prompting action. It is soft power, not 'chair power', when a person dominates and commands. After all, a real leader can lead a person, even if that person is not their subordinate," emphasized Sergei Bocharov.

The Senezh Management Workshop is a year-round educational center created on behalf of the President. Today it is a center of continuous training in the field of state and municipal service, project management and modern media. Through clear and transparent procedures, young people who see themselves as future managers can take part in programs where real masters of industries and key strategic directions of the country become their tutors.

Each day of the Senezh Management Workshop Week at the RUSSIA EXPO will be dedicated to a different topic — Management, Leadership, Meanings, Team and Community, Media, and Women's Leadership. The program is attended by leading experts, heads of state institutions, social movements, and famous projects in the field of culture and media. Quizzes, lectures, trainings and masterclasses, career counseling from coaches and mentors of the Workshop and other useful events await the participants of the Week.
