Young scientists from Belarus visited the RUSSIA EXPO
On March 27, on the eve of the celebration of the Day of
Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, a group of 60 young scientists and
graduate students from universities of the Union Republic visited the
Exposition. The event was held within the framework of the first stage of the
XIII Forum of Universities of Engineering and Technology of the Union State.
The participants of the delegation explored the exposition
of Russian regions, visited the Pavilions of the Ministry of Industry and Trade
of Russia "Made by Us", the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, the
Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation and others.
At the Exposition venue, the delegation met with State
Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev and State Secretary — Deputy
Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Viktor Yevtukhov,
Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Olga Petrova.
"The creation of such a grand exposition is an
initiative of the President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Here the
regions of the country present not only their achievements and traditions, but
also declare their plans for the future. Millions of people have already gotten
acquainted with these unique expositions. It is especially significant that by
order of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the leaders of the
Belarusian regions also present their potential in the pavilion of Belarus:
revived, modern and bright. Here on a single platform — the renowned legendary
Exposition of Achievements of National Economy. This is a special sign and
symbol. And we have decided to hold the first stage of the XIII Forum of
Universities of Engineering and Technology of the Union State here — at
VDNH," said Dmitry Mezentsev.
Viktor Yevtukhov emphasized the high level of cooperation
between the industrial complexes of Russia and Belarus, which allows joint
efforts to solve many problems related to ensuring technological sovereignty.
"In particular, in microelectronics, which is
especially important for the development of the economy, joint projects with
Belarusian enterprises allow us to expect that in the near future we will be
able to create microchips of 28 nm topology, which we could not even dream of a
few years ago. I am confident that after visiting the RUSSIA EXPO, you will
become promoters of cooperation in the sphere of high technologies, and when
you return to the Republic of Belarus you will share your impressions and
experience with your colleagues," said Viktor Yevtukhov.
On behalf of Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher
Education of the Russian Federation, the guests were welcomed by his Deputy
Olga Petrova. She also noted the special role of the RUSSIA EXPO in
strengthening the foundation of international cooperation, developing the
scientific potential of the two countries and promoting new ideas.
"The emotion that prevails at the Exposition and that
we all experience every time we come here is the emotion that allows us to move
forward and realize that the impossible is possible. And after all, the tasks
that are solved in science — they are exactly like that. And I want to say that
the cooperation of our scientists, which already exists, will certainly be
stronger and more powerful. After all, all the necessary, important and
significant things that we produce — all this is impossible without you and
your fundamental research, which allow us to move forward and meet the existing
challenges," said Olga Petrova.
Head of the Department of Science and Innovation Activity of
the Ministry of Education of the Republic Petr Pekutko noted that the current
visit of young scientists to Moscow is part of a great work to strengthen
contacts between teachers and scientists of the two countries.
"We see the effect of this activity, among other
things, in the presence of the first engineering school that started its work
in the Republic of Belarus. I believe that today's event will also become an
important stage of cooperation — it will suggest you interesting technological
solutions, ways of development, perhaps here you will see ideas for scientific
search," emphasized Petr Pekutko.
Visiting the Exposition caused a lot of positive emotions
among the representatives of the scientific community of Belarus, the guests
paid special attention to the rich innovative component of the display
expositions.
"The Exposition is filled with a variety of
interesting, promising exhibits and its interactive component allows you to
deeply immerse yourself in the subject of development. I sincerely hope that
those wonderful samples of innovative products that we have seen will find more
and more application in real life," said Fedor Verevka, a member of the
delegation.
The second stage of the XIII Forum of Universities of
Engineering and Technology of the Union State will be held for the first time
in the Russian Federation on the site of R.E. Alekseev Nizhny Novgorod State
Technical University in the fall of 2024.
The Foreign Minister
will speak at one of the key events of the Symposium - the panel discussion
"Future of Multipolar World."
The first event to be held at the Russia National Centre, which is being established by the order of President Vladimir Putin, will be the International Science Fiction Symposium and Exhibition "Inventing the Future". The symposium will take place from November 4 to 6.
Tomorrow, the International RUSSIA EXPO will conclude its work. From November 2023 to July 2024, it was visited by more than 18 million guests.
