Pavilion No. 36 "Museum of Cinema" at the RUSSIA EXPO offers its guests both permanent expositions, such as "Labyrinth of History", "Sergei Eisenstein's Study", "Time of Victories", and new ones.

Guests of the RUSSIA EXPO can visit the exposition "Our People. The Universe of Leonid Gaidai's Characters", timed to the 100th anniversary of the Soviet director's birth. Exposition "My Heart is Full of Pity" will tell about the history of Alexei German's movie "It's Hard to be a God".

The exposition project "Oleg Yankovsky. In Dream and in Reality", opened on the 80th anniversary of the actor's birth, tells about the artist's fate and his main screen roles. The first section of the exposition focuses on the key chapters of Yankovsky's life - childhood and the beginning of his career in Saratov, the first roles in theater and film, relationships in the family. The second section is entirely devoted to the actor's filmography and characters.

The Pavilion has prepared areas for permanent exposition and thematic expositions, there are three movie halls. There are also storerooms.

Costumes, photographs, playbills and posters, diafilms, rare books, film and photographic equipment, personal belongings of figures of the national cinematography - from the end of the XIX century to the present day - are kept here. In total - more than 200 thousand exhibits.

The most important part of the Pavilion's collection is the cinematheque: the Museum of Cinema is the owner of unique films.

Part of the Pavilion is Sergei Eisenstein's scientific and memorial study, where visitors can see the director's authentic personal belongings, his drawings and manuscripts. Films of the master are shown here in non-stop mode.

You can visit the Museum of Cinema with free tickets available on the museum's website or on the Exposition's website.
