For a wedding, better by train: couples from across Russia arrive in the capital to take part in the All-Russian Wedding Festival
Couples in
love from various regions of Russia have arrived in Moscow to take part in the
brightest event of this summer — the II All-Russian Wedding Festival
"Russia. Uniting Hearts" at the National Centre RUSSIA.
Russian
Railways and the National Centre RUSSIA, as part of the "For a Wedding,
#BetterByTrain" campaign, prepared a pleasant surprise to make their
journey memorable. On their way to the capital, train managers of the Federal
Passenger Company greeted the festival participants — couples soon to be wed —
and presented them with a specially designed pair of tea glass holders with a
unique design.
"We really like the National Centre RUSSIA. When we found out about the opportunity
to get married in this wonderful place, we applied without hesitation. And now,
here we are in Moscow," said Kira-Lin Nesterovich.
She and her
fiance Igor Tabachnik arrived from Saint Petersburg. The couple met on social
media. Kira-Lin says that on the evening they met, they both realised it was
the beginning of something real — their own story.
The wedding
festival has already begun at the National Centre RUSSIA and will run until
July 10. The programme includes official wedding ceremonies for more than 200
couples, as well as a series of celebratory events.
Its central theme was the development of visual culture through educational projects, public spaces and new approaches to environmental design.
The Summer Expert Meetings will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA in July.
Experts from the Centre for Cross-Industry Expertise "Third Rome" analysed the discussions and essays submitted by participants in the April event.
