Public figures and volunteers were awarded "Everything for Victory" badges at the Exposition
At the RUSSIA EXPO, as part of the celebration of the
two-year anniversary of the People's Front's charitable foundation
"Everything for Victory", a ceremony was held to award public figures
for their personal contribution to bringing victory in the special military
operation closer.
Sergei Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian
Presidential Executive Office, read out the address of the President of the
Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the participants and guests of the event.
Earlier, Sergei Kiriyenko examined the copies of military products that were
presented at the regional expositions and stands of the RUSSIA EXPO.
"As always in history, in difficult years of trials
Russian multinational society demonstrates cohesion, unity of the army and the
people, loyalty to the values of mutual assistance and solidarity bequeathed to
us by our ancestors. A vivid example of this is the heroic work of the
"People's Front. Everything for Victory!" foundation, other volunteer
organizations and concerned people who support the frontline soldiers, raise
money for additional assistance to units and formations on the front line. With
these truly people's funds, body armor and first aid kits, food supplies and
warm clothing, thousands of drones, cars, and radios, hundreds of ATVs and
other equipment, including those based on innovative designs by domestic
engineers and designers, have already been purchased and sent to the troops.
Such heartfelt care strengthens the morale of our soldiers and officers. It
convincingly shows that together we will respond to any challenge. And that
means that victory will be ours," Vladimir Putin's address reads.
Among the nominees are opinion leaders who open fundraisers
and deliver necessary aid to the front line, caring people who are
systematically engaged in helping soldiers and their families. Among them are
musicians and artists, inventors, doctors, medics, volunteers, residents who
resist drone attacks and contribute to the fight against fakes on the Internet,
as well as other active citizens.
Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential
Executive Office, emphasized the role of companies in supporting the military
in the SMO zone.
"Both small and large businesses transfer money, buy
equipment, send it to the front. There is such a notion — socially responsible
business. But this, it seems to me, is much more than that. This is a business
responsible for the country, for its future, for the future of children,"
said Maxim Oreshkin.
Alexei Dyumin, Aide to the President of the Russian
Federation, Secretary of the State Council, noted that servicemen in the SMO
zone fight evil and defend the truth.
"A huge army of volunteers, concerned citizens,
business representatives - this is not just a humanitarian mission, this is the
second front. A battle front that has become the second echelon behind our
guys. The products that are sent to the front help our units to overcome the
huge opposition of the enemy's technical means, to achieve their tasks and to
bring closer our most important and common goal for today — Victory. Victory
will be ours! Because we are fighting against evil, and the truth is on our
side," Alexei Dyumin emphasized.
Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the RUSSIA EXPO,
also took part in the ceremony.
"We have a lot of pride, admiration, love and very,
very much life at the RUSSIA EXPO. There is a lot of life and love for our
great Motherland in our whole country. I thank each and every one of you for
this — for life! A low bow to you," said Natalia Virtuozova.
Rector of the Belgorod State National Research University,
Doctor of Economics Evgenia Karlovskaya told about the campaign "Belgorod,
Our Hearts are with You" organized by the RUSSIA EXPO to help the injured
Belgorod residents. All regions of our country have already joined it. The
collected funds are used for treatment, prosthetics and rehabilitation of local
residents.
"From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank the
initiators and participants of the action "Belgorod, Our Hearts are with
You". You have given us great faith in ourselves, and we have gained
confidence that the victory will soon be ours," emphasized Evgenia
Karlovskaya.
The celebration of the two-year anniversary of the People's
Front charitable foundation "Everything for Victory" took place at
the Exposition on June 18. Over the two years of the fund's operation, more
than 4 million people took part in its work, collecting 14 billion rubles for
the needs of fighters in the zone of special military operation. In addition,
residents from all over the country brought to the regional offices of the
People's Front more than 8 million items — dressing kits, warm clothes and much
more.
The program of the celebration included autograph sessions
of People's Front ambassadors, a thematic concert, as well as a solemn ceremony
of presenting awards to public figures for their personal contribution to
bringing victory in the SMO closer. An exposition of inventions by the People's
Front's "Kulibin Club" engineers was open throughout the day.
