Integration of digital modeling into urban planning and development was discussed at the Exposition
On May 30,
the All-Russian practical conference TSYFRAGRAD-2024 (lit. Digital City) was
held at the International RUSSIA EXPO in Pavilion No. 46 "Energy of
Life" (Ministry of Energy of Russia). Representatives of the authorities,
scientific, expert and business communities discussed key issues and considered
practical examples of integrating digital modeling into urban planning and
development. The event took place within the framework of the All-Russian Forum
"Urban Planning Week: Innovation and Development", which is held at
the Exposition from May 28 to 31.
Konstantin
Mikhailik, Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities, welcomed the
participants of the conference. He noted the high achievements in the
digitalization of the industry, including due to the constructive dialogue
between the market and consumers, decisions on which are successfully
implemented by all links in the industry chain.
"I am
very proud of what we have done together. In fact, we have turned the rules of
the game upside down, and 'digital' has become a critical element of any
construction area and in urban development in the first place. The instructions
of the President of Russia on the development of supporting agglomerations, on
the introduction of the idea of master planning as a large concept important
for Russia, suggest that we cannot do without 'digital' here," said
Konstantin Mikhailik.
Nikolay
Parfentiev, Director of the Digital Development Department of the Ministry of
Construction of Russia, reported on the importance of developing the digital
vertical: "A lot of work is being done to form a 'digital twin' of the
country. The framework of the digital vertical of urban planning has been
created, in which there are two types of systems that accumulate and store data
on capital construction objects - GISOGD (State Information System for Urban
Planning Activities) of the Russian Federation, which will be transformed this
year into GIS (State Information System) STROYCOMPLEX.RF, and GISOGD of the
subjects. The registry principle will be based on these systems".
Mikhail
Viktorov, President of the Association "National Association of
Organizations in the Field of Information Modeling Technologies" (NOTIM),
Chairman of the Committee for Urban Planning Policy, Construction and Building
Materials Industry of the Moscow Confederation of Industrialists and
Entrepreneurs (Employers), stressed the importance of sharing experience in the
overall creative development of the industry in the connection of developers
and authorities: "In addition to minimizing the risks of sanctions, one of
the key advantages of Russian software is deep integration with the Russian
regulatory framework. The work is carried out in close cooperation with
Glavgosexpertiza and regional expertise bodies. This automation, which these
developments offer, will allow them to be ahead of their Western counterparts
in 3-5 years".
The
All-Russian Forum "Urban Planning Week: Innovation and Development"
is organized by the University of the Ministry of Construction NIISF RAASN with
the support of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the
Russian Federation. The event is co-organized by the National Association of
Organizations in the Field of Information Modeling Technologies (NOTIM). The
main purpose of the forum is the exchange of experience and knowledge between
representatives of authorities, scientific community, experts and business.
The event
emphasizes the importance of urban planning development in modern Russia and
promotes the development of strategic directions for further progress of the
industry in the conditions of digitalization. Participants are expected to
engage in intensive discussions dedicated to the future and innovations in
urban planning, from concept to implementation of master plans, integration of
digital modeling in urban development, as well as effective resource management
to form a sustainable and prosperous urban space.
