Polling station for voting in Russia’s Presidential Election was opened at the RUSSIA EXPO
On March
15, the first day of Russia's Presidential Election, a polling station was
opened at the International RUSSIA EXPO, where thousands of employees of the
Exposition can vote.
Among the
first to cast their vote was the Director General of the Autonomous
noncommercial organization «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements
"Russia"» Natalia Virtuozova.
"The
polling station can be considered a separate exposition of the RUSSIA EXPO: it
demonstrates the latest achievements of the electoral system of the Russian
Federation. And for us, the organizers of the Exposition - and there are
thousands of people - it is extremely important that we can cast our vote here,
literally at our workplace," Natalia Virtuozova noted.
PEC No.
9003 at the RUSSIA EXPO is equipped with the latest technological solutions,
including terminals for electronic voting (TEV).
"The
decision to open this polling station was made taking into account the number
of participants and visitors to the Exposition. Its peculiarity is that we have
no attached residents, all Russian citizens could apply and vote at this
polling station in the next three days. And Moscow residents can cast their
vote at the Exposition without additional applications," said Oleg
Zakharov, Chairman of PEC No. 9003.
The ballot approved by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation for the 2024 presidential election includes four names of candidates. Three are members of parties: Leonid Slutsky is nominated from the LDPR, Nikolai Kharitonov is nominated from the CPRF, and Vladislav Davankov represents the New People party. The incumbent President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin is a self-nominated candidate.
Polling station No. 9003 at the RUSSIA EXPO is located on the first floor of Pavilion No.75 (near the checkroom for organized groups). The working hours of the polling station on March 15, 16 and 17 are from 8 to 20 hours.
