Results of the XXII International Competition of Bayanists "Vivat, Bayan!" were summarized at the RUSSIA EXPO
The closing
ceremony of the XXII International Competition of Bayanists "Vivat,
Bayan!" took place on June 28. This is one of the most prestigious
international competitions for bayanists and accordionists, annually gathering
talented musicians from all over the country and abroad. Many of the
contestants and laureates have already become recognized masters of musical
art, performing solo concerts all over the world.
Since 2002,
the contest has been held annually in the Samara region, its idea belongs to
Merited Artist of Russia Sergei Voitenko — the founder and permanent artistic
director of "Vivat, Bayan!". In 2024, for the first time the contest
is held in Moscow as part of the International RUSSIA EXPO, giving all visitors
a unique opportunity to watch the performances of future stars.
"A
total of 22 regions of our country were represented in the contest, as well as
Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Belarus and China. To date,
"Vivat, Bayan!" is the largest international contest of bayanists.
The first place won at the contest is an entrance ticket to any musical
institution. Many guys come here for the victory and for the opportunity to
mention the fact that they became a laureate of this competition in their
curriculum vitae, because it gives additional points for admission to a higher
educational institution," said Merited Artist of Russia Sergei Voitenko.
During the
closing ceremony, the winners of the competition — musicians from Russian
regions and foreign countries — were awarded.
