13 couples from the Volga Federal District got married at the RUSSIA EXPO
On May 16, 13 couples from the regions of the Volga
Federal District got married at the Exposition. The ceremony became a part of
the All-Russian Wedding Festival.
On the fifth day of the festival, one couple each from
the Perm, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg, Penza, Samara and Saratov regions,
Bashkortostan, Mari El, Mordovia, Tatarstan and Chuvashia, as well as two
couples from the Kirov region tied the knot.
The newlyweds took part in the festive procession from
the Arch of the Main Entrance to the Main Street Stage together with regional
creative groups. The newlyweds were handed over the flame of the All-Russian
Family Hearth "Heart
of Russia",
which was lit at the Exposition during the opening ceremony of the Year of the
Family with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin on January
23.
Daniyar and Aigul from Tatarstan were among those who
got married at the Exposition.
"May
is the month we met. We also decided to get married in May. Today's ceremony
was very great, very cool, I can't even find words to convey my delight! The
procession was great too - folk music, songs, dancing! Thank you for the
opportunity to get married at the Exposition," said Aigul.
The Kirov region was represented at the ceremony by
two couples - Yegor and Christina, and Pavel and Anastasia.
"The feelings from the festival are uplifting. It is
very interesting and fun. We are grateful for the opportunity to formalize our
relationship here," Pavel shared his impressions.
Christina admitted that she was a little nervous on
stage.
"We had certain jitters on stage - at least I did. Now
that everything has calmed down, everything is fine. Now we can call each other
husband and wife!" Christina said.
According to Yegor, he is still to get used to the new
status.
"We do not yet seem to have fully realized what is
happening, have not felt all the changes. Everything is in flux, everything is
fast, very dynamic. We haven't gotten used to the new status yet!" Yegor
admitted.
After the wedding ceremony, creative groups from the
Volga Federal District regions - from the Penza, Orenburg and Saratov regions,
as well as Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Mari El, Perm region, Mordovia, Chuvashia,
Samara and Orenburg regions - performed on stage.
