January 26 is the Ecology Day at the RUSSIA EXPO. As part of the business program, Pavilions No. 19 (Atom) and No. 12 (SIBUR House of Polymers) hosted presentations of new eco-spaces dedicated to environmental and educational projects. Victoria Abramchenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, took part in the inspection of the new expositions and sightseeing tours of the pavilions.

"Business is actively involved in the environmental agenda on several federal projects. For example, today we discussed the Clean Air project. Of course, the main air polluters are the flagships of the domestic economy, large industrial enterprises in the cities of Siberia and the Urals. And businesses in these cities are not slowing down the pace of environmental investment - we see this in the improvement of the air in these cities, among other things. Therefore, business is not stopping, and we, for our part, are monitoring the situation, helping and flexibly adjusting the regulatory framework," emphasized Victoria Abramchenko.

In the Atom pavilion, the guests of honor were told about the key environmental projects of Rosatom State Corporation. In particular, those present learned about the progress of work on the elimination of accumulated environmental damage in town of Usolye-Sibirskoye, at the Krasny Bor industrial waste landfill and the territory of the former Baikal pulp and paper mill.

In addition, guests of the pavilion learned about the work of the federal state information system of accounting and control over the handling of class I-II wastes.

In the SIBUR House of Polymers pavilion, the delegation got acquainted with the environmental zone of Russia's largest oil and gas chemistry education and outreach space. The exposition talks about the role of the petrochemical industry in the life of modern man, introduces modern synthetic materials, new technologies, sustainable development and environmental initiatives. In addition, there are activities aimed at popularization of scientific knowledge among schoolchildren and students, their support in self-identification and development of professional career in petrochemistry at domestic enterprises. These are special classes and laboratories, educational lectures, masterclasses and much more.

The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. During the entire time of the Exposition, guests are welcomed with cultural events, a rich business and educational program. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors.
