"Sounds of the Motherland" concert was held at the RUSSIA EXPO
The
"Sounds of the Motherland" concert took place on the Main Street
Stage. Renowned performers delighted the Exposition guests with songs spanning
various genres. The concert program included works by classical Russian
composers, folk music, popular Soviet-era songs and contemporary hits.
In a
musical journey through the history of our country's music, the artists
demonstrated the connection between events in Russia and songs that reflected
the sentiments of Soviet society in the 1970-1980s and Russian society in the
1990-2020s. Each musical number became a separate story, allowing the audience
to immerse themselves in Russian culture.
Alongside
young talents, professional musicians whose names are well-known far beyond our
country's borders took the stage. Throughout the day, performances were given
by students of the Larisa Dolina Academy, graduates of the Vocal Workshop of
Merited Artists of the Russian Federation, Maria Smirnova and Alexander
Tsilenko, the group Uch-Kuduk, the OPEN SOUND choir of the Moscow City Open
College, the Second Frenzy band and others.
The concert
concluded with long applause from the audience, expressing gratitude to the
performers and program organizers.
Why politics does not work without journalists, how to tell a calling from simply "an interesting job", and why a young reporter needs to read literature constantly were discussed by participants in the Young Journalists School.
