"Yablochko" dance flash mob was held at the Exposition
A dance flash mob "Yablochko" (lit. "Apple") was
held in Pavilion No. 75. The event was timed to the Day of the Black Sea Fleet,
which is annually celebrated on May 13.
"At the
heart of the festive flash mob, which was presented for guests and spectators
of the Exposition, is an original dance story — a sea dance "Yablochko". It
is dedicated to all those who now undergo a difficult but important service in
the Navy and, of course, in the Black Sea Fleet," said the flash mob
director Pavel Remnev.
He added that the flash mob was held with the use of modern
musical elements.
Sea dance "Yablochko" is a traditional element of maritime
culture. It is a dance that is often performed on the deck of a ship by sailors
during a voyage. It usually imitates the movements and actions associated with
a sea voyage, such as raising the sails, the helm, the waves and so on.
The singer said that her grandfather, Dmitry Sergeyevich Khondak, not only went through the entire war, but also nurtured her love of art.
On 10 May, the Rossiya-Kultura TV channel will broadcast the musical and choreographic parable "Khorovod", created at the National Centre RUSSIA.
Residents of Yugra joined a khorovod (round Dnce) and performed the "Waltz of Unity" to melodies from the war years.
