All-Russian Power Sports Festival "Eurasian Games — 2024" was held at the Exposition
On June 14, the RUSSIA EXPO hosted the All-Russian Power
Sports Festival "Eurasian Games — 2024". Athletes from different
regions of the country competed at the "Sports Russia" site. The
Games are timed to coincide with the Day of the Founding of Sevastopol.
The festival was held in Moscow for the first time, earlier
it was held in Sevastopol for five years, said the president of the all-Russian
public organization "World's Strongest Nation", chairman of the
organizing committee of the festival Mikhail Paller.
"We brought this wonderful power performance to the
RUSSIA EXPO because it is the central platform of Russia. The athletes
participating in the competition have come from all over the country. These are
the strongest people in Russia and the world — many of them have international
titles," said Mikhail Paller.
The festival participants competed in five disciplines:
lifting the Apollo axis — a special projectile with a thick bar, running relay
race with carrying bags and tires weighing more than a hundred kilograms,
carrying a 380-kilogram barbell, lifting stones and standing pull with a car.
The winner of the competition was Dmitry Skosyrsky from Omsk, second place went
to David Shamey from Belgorod, and third place to Alexander Klokov from
Lipetsk.
The documentary "Life in the Profession", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of an outstanding cameraman Anatoly Zabolotsky, was shown at the National Centre RUSSIA on July 1.
Very this day one year ago, on July 1, the decree of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the establishment of the National Centre RUSSIA was signed.
On July 2 and 3, the National Centre RUSSIA will host the Forum "Strong Ideas for a New Age". The Forum will include sessions and presentations of the best projects.
