All-Russian Power Sports Festival "Eurasian Games — 2024" was held at the Exposition
On June 14, the RUSSIA EXPO hosted the All-Russian Power
Sports Festival "Eurasian Games — 2024". Athletes from different
regions of the country competed at the "Sports Russia" site. The
Games are timed to coincide with the Day of the Founding of Sevastopol.
The festival was held in Moscow for the first time, earlier
it was held in Sevastopol for five years, said the president of the all-Russian
public organization "World's Strongest Nation", chairman of the
organizing committee of the festival Mikhail Paller.
"We brought this wonderful power performance to the
RUSSIA EXPO because it is the central platform of Russia. The athletes
participating in the competition have come from all over the country. These are
the strongest people in Russia and the world — many of them have international
titles," said Mikhail Paller.
The festival participants competed in five disciplines:
lifting the Apollo axis — a special projectile with a thick bar, running relay
race with carrying bags and tires weighing more than a hundred kilograms,
carrying a 380-kilogram barbell, lifting stones and standing pull with a car.
The winner of the competition was Dmitry Skosyrsky from Omsk, second place went
to David Shamey from Belgorod, and third place to Alexander Klokov from
Lipetsk.
The festive concert of the Chinese-Russian children's and youth choir "Hand in Hand!" will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA on 10 May.
