Presentation of the Nizhny Novgorod-based year-round youth educational centre "GosStart", which trains young civil servants, was held at the RUSSIA EXPO
On June 20, Pavilion No. 55 "Home of Youth" hosted the presentation of the year-round youth educational centre "GosStart" (lit. "State Start") in Nizhny Novgorod. During the day there are activities for the whole family — meetings with experts, strategic sessions, thematic quizzes and much more.
In the format of a video message, the participants of the presentation and the Rosmolodezh Forum Week were greeted by Yegor Litvinenko, Advisor to the Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.
"I want to congratulate everyone on today's start, because the year-round educational centre, which was opened by the President of Russia, is the basis of our training and our programs. I thank Nizhny Novgorod from the bottom of my heart for their tireless work and, of course, once again I want to wish all our young and future civil and municipal employees to believe in what you are doing, to be even better and stronger, and to remember that the most important thing in state and municipal service is to serve people," said Yegor Litvinenko.
The idea of the All-Russian Program of Support for Young State and Municipal Employees "GosStart" originated in Nizhny Novgorod region back in 2022.
"We came up with several directions and inspired the whole country with this idea, and with the support of Rosmolodezh, this program became federal and is being transferred to almost all subjects of the Russian Federation. It seems to me that it is the competencies and the quality of managers in the civil and municipal service that determine how absolutely all sectors will develop. And I would like to hope that our year-round educational centre will become the basis for the successful development of absolutely all sectors of the economy and social sphere of our country," said Ekaterina Lebedeva, Minister of Human Resources Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The educational centre "GosStart" is a community of like-minded people aged 18 to 35 from different regions of the country. Along with the development of leadership skills, future civil and municipal servants are instilled with such values as team service, patriotism and love for the Fatherland. And, of course, they are all united by a common mission — serving people.
"It is possible to attract young people to the civil service in various ways, including through a system of open dialogs and interregional internships. There is also a special program "Civil Servant", and today, within the framework of the Days of "GosStart" at the RUSSIA EXPO, the best practices of this program will also be presented, when, literally, civil servants "take off their jackets" and go to help people — collecting humanitarian aid for the front, writing letters, planting trees, helping children. In this way, we form a comprehensive portrait of a civil servant, where service is the main word and the main symbol of their activity," said Ivan Kalmykov, head of the year-round youth educational centre "GosStart".
The centre was opened in April 2024 under the All-Russian program of the same name to support young civil and municipal servants from Rosmolodezh. Representatives of 49 subjects are already being trained at the site in Nizhny Novgorod. The plan for 2024 is to train 12 thousand people.
