Presentation of tourist routes in the regions of the Siberian Federal District was held at the Exposition
On July 2, the RUSSIA EXPO hosted a presentation of tourism
in the Siberian Federal District. The regions showcased their main attractions,
interesting travel routes and tourist offers.
Representatives of the Altai Republic talked about their
region, highlighting the dynamics of tourist flow growth and the most popular
unique natural assets and territories. They discussed the rules for visiting
nature reserves and sacred sites, which are detailed in the "Tourist
Code". Additionally, participants were invited to local festivals and
celebrations such as the Kurultai of Storytellers, the First International
All-Turkic Sabantuy, the gastro-festival "Mother Earth Altai" and the
Interregional Festival of the Altai People "El-Oyin."
Business coach Natalia Bikeykina conducted neuro-gymnastics
with visitors and handed out tourist souvenirs with regional symbols, while
master of Altai throat singing, Ravil Lirov, talked about authentic musical
instruments like the topshuur and komus and performed a musical composition in
the Altai language. Besides, a quiz for visitors with memorable gifts as prizes
was held.
The Altai region presented "A is for Altai
Region", focusing on the region's tourism and recreational potential.
Guests were introduced to tourist programs and services, authors' and guided
routes. The presentation highlighted the region's hospitality industry, popular
tourist attractions, and significant magnets of the Altai region. Noteworthy
museums such as the V. M. Shukshin Memorial Museum-Reserve, the G. S. Titov
Memorial Museum and the M. T. Kalashnikov Museum, which opened in November
2013, were also featured. The development of major investment projects, which
will increase tourist accommodation and infrastructure, was discussed.
Significant tourist clusters include the Belokurikha federal resort, the
"Belokurikha Mountain" tourist area, the "Altai Foothills"
natural park, the "Siberian Coin" gaming zone, the "Tyagun"
sports and tourism cluster and others.
The presentation of the Republic of Tuva's tourist potential
featured a traditional dance by the "On-Kum" Fashion and Costume
Theater. The director of the Republic's Tourism Agency, Buyanzak Tulus,
highlighted the main attractions and strengths of the region.
"Tuva is rich in rich historical and cultural heritage,
including the nomadic yurt, national cuisine, folk crafts, traditional arts
such as throat singing (khoomei) and agalmatolite carving (chonar-dash), and
national sports like horse racing and wrestling (kuresh). We invite you to
climb mountains, raft down wild rivers, hunt for trophies, rejuvenate at hot
springs, and absorb the energy of sacred places. Come visit us!"

Visitors were also treated to performances by international
throat singing competition winner Damdyn Dalai, Grand Prix winner of the IV
International Festival "Khoomei in the Center of Asia" Mongun-ool
Mongush, and Grammy Award-winning People's Khoomeiji of the Republic of Tuva
Igor Koshkendei.
The Republic of Khakassia's presentation highlighted its
capital, Abakan, the tourist brand "Land of Five Elements" and major
tourist attractions like the Sayano-Shushenskaya Hydroelectric Power Station,
the Ancestors' Trail and the Salbyk Kurgan. They also held a gift draw for
guests.
Representatives of the Krasnoyarsk region invited guests to
visit the Yergaki Nature Park, the Putorana Plateau, the taiga and the Yenisei
River, along with a quiz featuring gifts.
The Irkutsk region presented its main attractions,
industrial tourism projects, the Baikal-Alaska Park-Hotel, and an overview of
Baikal tours and new format tours. Guests were invited to visit the region's
most popular tourist sites: the Circum-Baikal Railway, Olkhon Island, the
villages of Listvyanka and Bolshoe Goloustnoe, the Baikalsk ski resort, and, of
course, the jewel of the Irkutsk region — Lake Baikal. A certificate for a stay
at the History hotel in Irkutsk was also raffled off among the visitors.
The final session of the Open Dialogue "Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" took place at the National Centre RUSSIA on the closing day, April 30.
