Development of tourism in Siberian regions was discussed at the RUSSIA EXPO
The plenary session "Tourism in the Regions of the
Siberian Federal District" presented new tourist routes and hospitality
facilities in the Siberian regions and talked about various vacation
destinations.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has set a task to triple
the export of tourist services, increasing their share in GDP to 5% by 2030,
said Anatoly Seryshev, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Siberian
Federal District. Siberia has the necessary potential to achieve the outlined
goals, he emphasized.
"The resources of the district's regions allow the
development of almost all types of tourism — after all, the variety of tourist
attraction points in our expanses attracts travelers with a variety of goals
and preferences. These are Baikal and Yenisei, Mangerok and Sheregesh,
Belokurikha and Sayan. It is hardly possible to enumerate all natural and
cultural riches of boundless Siberia. I think there is no one who would not
dream at least once to look at this beauty with his own eyes. Our task is to
help people to make these dreams come true, to make their realization as simple,
accessible, comfortable and safe as possible," said Anatoly Seryshev.
The expositions of Siberian regions at the RUSSIA EXPO
demonstrated the majestic, diverse, hospitable and cordial Siberia, he
emphasized.
"The Exposition sparked a huge interest in Siberia
among many people. The key to success is the well-coordinated teamwork of a
huge number of participants involved in the process of its organization. I
thank all those involved in its creation and design for their dedication and
love for our Motherland," said Anatoly Seryshev.
The session was attended by heads of executive authorities of ten regions of the SFD — the Republics of Altai, Tuva and Khakassia, Altai and Krasnoyarsk region, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Tomsk regions. They spoke about the tourist projects being developed in the regions. Representatives of the regions attributed the growth of tourist flow to the increase in transport accessibility, expansion of tourist offer taking into account the cultural and natural specifics of the subject and modern trends in the recreation industry.
