The new exposition at the RUSSIA EXPO is dedicated to shooting sports and fencing. Domestic athletes became participants of the project. The gala event was organized by the Russian Society "Knowledge".

The exposition Alley of Glory consists of glass steles containing original gold medals won by Russian athletes. The exposition dedicated to shooting sports and fencing also features medals of champions.

"As our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin said, the main gold of our country is people. And you, our dear athletes, confirm this. We are proud of your victories and achievements as our own. You have repeatedly proved to the whole world that nothing is impossible and that Russia is a truly sporting power", — said Maxim Dreval, Director General of the Russian Society "Knowledge".

In our country a lot of attention is paid to physical culture, sports, sports of highest achievements. This was stated by Stanislav Pozdnyakov, 4-time Olympic champion, 10-time world champion, 13-time European saber fencing champion, President of the Russian Olympic Committee.

"Undoubtedly, one of the main tasks is to educate a new generation of Russian athletes, to form new winning traditions, including through the successes and achievements of previous generations of Soviet and Russian athletes. This is a very important aspect, and I am grateful to the organizers for having such an honorable mission in our sports industry. It is a great honor for me to hand over my medal to the exposition", — said Stanislav Pozdnyakov.

"I am very grateful to the Russian Society "Knowledge" for the idea to organize the Alley of Glory. When people see medals of such a high rank so close — it is both an incentive to go to new heights for those who are already involved in sports, and an incentive for those who are still to make up their minds", — said Lyubov Galkina, Olympic champion, world champion and 7-time European champion in three-position rifle shooting.

"It is very pleasant to be here on this frosty and sunny day. I would like to thank the organizers of the event. This exposition is a motivation for our entore great country. From the bottom of our hearts, we give it the medals so dear to us", — said Olympic champion, 3-time world champion and 5-time European champion in benchrest shooting Alexei Alipov.

Various sports are represented on the Alley of Glory: martial arts, winter, summer, water and game sports, shooting sports, fencing. The stands are being opened gradually.
