"Belogorye" clothing collection by designer Alyona Akhmadullina will be presented at the RUSSIA EXPO
The show will be held on May 25 as part of the project "Belgorod, Our Hearts Are
with You". The fashion designer was inspired by folk art crafts of the
Belgorod region and works of schoolchildren of Stary Oskol to create the
"Belogorye" collection, developed in collaboration with artistic and
creative groups of the region. The items of the collection can be ordered onthe website. All proceeds from the sale of the collection will go to the needs
of residents of the Belgorod region who suffered from shelling.
Last year
designer Alyona Akhmadullina together with the Government of the Belgorod
region organized a competition among art schools for the best drawing dedicated
to Stary Oskol toys. The winner was Victoria Marandykina, a pupil of the M.G.
Erdenko Children's Art School No. 1 in Stary Oskol. The prize-winning places
were taken by pupils of the children's art school of Stary Oskol: second -
Sofia Yatsun, third - Polina Chasovskikh. Their works were chosen as the basis
for the prints of the collection.
The source
of inspiration for the prints and embroideries of the collection was also
Belgorod traditional ornaments. Black pattern embroidery - a characteristic
geometric pattern, which is called "arepey" in the region, has its
origins in the culture of the ancient Slavs.
