Gazprom Day was held at the RUSSIA EXPO
Gazprom Day was held at the RUSSIA EXPO on February 17. Visitors could learn about the company’s projects in various spheres and the participation in them in the Lecture Hall of the Gazprom Pavilion, where the open studio "Find Yourself in Gazprom" was open all day long.
Tina Kandelaki, Georgy Cherdantsev, Ksenia Utekhina, Dina and Arina Averina, Arsen Agamalyan asked the participants of Gazprom's flagship projects about opportunities for young scientists and inventors, sportsmen and artists, young specialists, graduates of industry-specific universities, which the company provides, about the ways to build a career and get an incentive for self-realization.
"The company's social projects are a colossal system of social investments that Gazprom is creating and developing for a confident and stable future. Educational, career guidance and scientific initiatives for schoolchildren, students and young professionals allow everyone to prove themselves and really find themselves in Gazprom," said Tina Kandelaki, TV presenter, Deputy Director General of Gazprom-Media Holding JSC and Managing Director of Gazprom-Media Entertainment Television.
Since 2014, 31 Gazprom-Classes have been opened across the country to help schoolchildren deepen their knowledge of specialized subjects. There are 23 Gazprom base departments in Russian universities. In cooperation with Gazprom's supporting universities, the "Steps" Research Projects Competition of the Gazprom-Classes students, the Gazprom Industry Olympiad for Schoolchildren and the Gazprom Student Olympiad are held annually.
One of the company's key social projects - Gazprom to Children - was presented in the Lecture Hall of the Gazprom Pavilion. Since 2007, over 2,100 modern sports and social facilities have been built and reconstructed in 74 Russian regions, which help discover children's talents and abilities, engage them in a healthy lifestyle and regular physical training in their hometowns.
"The Gazprom to Children project has changed the lives of millions of people. Some of them discovered a new kind of hobby and gained self-confidence, achieved a lot on their chosen path, some of them tied their whole life to sports and the education of future champions," said Georgy Cherdantsev, sports commentator, Match TV host, member of the Russian Television Academy, at the meeting with the athletes.
The subject of talent development and creative potential was discussed at the meeting with the participants of the Torch Festival of amateur groups and performers. For many years the corporate festival has been uniting labor collectives, forming a creative movement of Gazprom Group employees working in many regions, including remote corners of our country.
The unique project to support young specialists in the field of culture, art and restoration skills, which forms a careful attitude to the country's culture and history, was discussed at the meeting with the Friends of St. Petersburg. Together with the leading museums of Russia and the world, including Tsarskoye Selo, Peterhof, the Hermitage and the Russian Museum, Gazprom implements a number of large-scale restoration and exposition projects. The Friends of St. Petersburg's experience in various areas of work: laboratories, volunteering, creative bureau, immersion, etc. allows to become part of them.
"It is especially valuable to me that the core of the Friends of St. Petersburg project is made up of young people who have decided to devote their professional lives to preserving St. Petersburg's rich cultural heritage. Thanks to Gazprom's project, young people have a unique opportunity to learn from the best masters of restoration, museum management and urbanism, adopt their experience and watch the revival of masterpieces. At the same time, the project is open to all people who care about the history and future of our country," said actress Ksenia Utekhina, who played the role of Catherine I in the movie "Peter the Great", which premiered at the Friends of St. Petersburg festival.
Specially for the guests of the Gazprom Pavilion, volunteers participating in the Friends of St. Petersburg project held art mediation sessions: dialogues about art opened up an opportunity to share feelings and attitudes towards masterpieces of world art, reflect on the importance of culture and its role in the life of each of us. In addition, each of the visitors learned how to become a volunteer at the Museum Night events and the Friends of St. Petersburg festival to be held in St. Petersburg in 2024.
"Gazprom dedicated the whole day to the young generation of Russians - those who are ready for discoveries, eager to try out their strengths and skills, actively using all the opportunities provided by the company. At the job fair held at the Rosmolodezh Pavilion, specialists from Gazprom subsidiaries explained how to start a career in the world's energy leader. The winners of the International Construction Championship and the professional skills festival "Build. Hero" demonstrated that being a gas construction worker is both interesting and promising.
