Fashion show featuring Russian designers took place at the RUSSIA EXPO
The show, titled "Russian Style: Rite", was
presented as a dramatic performance in four parts: mourning, birth, change of
status and life manifesto. Through costumes and music, the designers illustrated
the perception of these significant events in the life of a Russian woman.
"This is not a fashion show in the usual sense — it's
more of a theatrical performance. Its four parts tell the story of how modern
Russian women are perceived by designers, reinterpreting the cultural code
through clothing and music," said the event's host, Ekaterina Arkalova, to
the guests.
Designers Masha Andrianova, Elena Trofimova, Maria Emelyanova, Anna Tolstaya and Lyubov Teptsova participated in the show, along with the brands DIL, Sarafai and Kotoma. The curators of the "Russian Style" project in the fashion direction are Alina Kovalenko and Maria Kafarova.
