On January 17, as part of the educational program of the Digitalization Day at the RUSSIA EXPO, a presentation of the Digital Field project was held, during which the guests of the RUSSIA EXPO were told about the most modern technologies of oil production, remote control and regulation of well operation. The event was organized by PJSC NK Rosneft.

The Digital Field project was launched by Rosneft for pilot production operation at the Ilishevskoye field of Bashneft in Bashkiria and at the facilities of RN-Uvatneftegaz in the Tyumen region. Digital Field is a full-scale digital twin that allows remote monitoring and online modeling of production processes and helps engineering services to track the operation of wells and other equipment, as well as control the use of personal protective equipment and the movement of equipment and personnel around the oilfields.

To implement the project, models of the main production processes were digitized and integrated with each other using artificial intelligence technologies: mechanized well stock, pipeline transportation, oil treatment system, and energy facilities. For the first time, such a solution covered all major oil production and logistics processes. Technologies of wearable devices, augmented reality and many others are also involved.

"All information is collected at a single data center in Moscow and is monitored and analyzed in the company's central control room, where, with the support of artificial intelligence technologies, decisions on regulating production and other parameters can be made in an operational mode. Information on processing, transportation, sales and logistics flows is also collected here. The company's management makes strategic decisions based on this data, and artificial intelligence helps analyze this information faster", — said Maxim Nechukhaev, Rosneft representative and developer of the Digital Field project.

Ruslan Yenikeyev, a colleague of Nechukhaev's, another developer of the Digital Field, spoke about how technology helps in monitoring the health and safety of Rosneft employees. According to him, the health and lives of employees are key values of the oil company.

"Automated modeling, machine learning and neural networks are now being applied in processes to improve the efficiency of mechanized production, product gathering and reservoir pressure maintenance systems to create decision support systems - that is, digital assistants for engineers", — Ruslan Yenikeyev said.

Maxim Nechukhaev expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the Exposition and invited everyone to visit the Rosneft Pavilion.

"I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers of the Exposition for the invitation to participate in such an event. I invite everyone to visit the Rosneft Pavilion. Here you can see and feel with your own hands many of the things we have talked about today. There is even a simulator which allows you to compete with neural networks. We also have entertainment activities. Everyone is welcome to join us!" — Maxim Nechukhaev added.

The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. Throughout the entire period of the exposition, guests will be welcomed with cultural and entertainment events, a rich business and educational program. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. The exposition is held at VDNH in Moscow from November 4 until April 12.
