Health Day was officially launched at the RUSSIA EXPO

The Health Day was inaugurated at the International RUSSIA EXPO on February 2. Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health of Russia, addressed the guests of the Exposition.

"Today at the Exposition, almost every pavilion will present events that will allow you to learn a little more about the industry aimed at providing medical care with its products. There will be blocks of questions on scientific developments and social support for the older generation. Recommendations of leading experts on proper diet and lifestyle will also be presented," said Mikhail Murashko.

Inna Svyatenko, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council on Social Policy, noted the development of high-tech medicine.

"The Health Day is a very important day. It is no coincidence that the state pays such attention to the national projects "Demography" and "Health Care". We are doing a lot of work on the development and modernization of primary health care. The Ministry pays special attention to this particular subject. It is possible to undergo medical examinations, research and diagnostics using the most modern methods in the most remote corners of the country. To date, more than 6 million high-tech operations have been performed. This means that 6 million lives have been saved," said Inna Svyatenko, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council on Social Policy.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Ekaterina Priezzheva noted the importance of the Health Day at the Exposition.

"Medicine and pharmaceutical industry always go hand in hand and are very closely connected. It is gratifying to note that today pharmaceuticals are at the forefront of science and are developing at a terrific pace. We expect very interesting discussions on this platform today. The exposition provides opportunities, thanks to which professionals, specialists, experts can work together with visitors," said Ekaterina Priezzheva, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

At the end of the Health Day opening ceremony, the guests of the Exposition had an opportunity to exercise with Irina Slutskaya, figure skater, Olympic medalist, two-time world champion, seven-time European champion, Merited Master of Sports of Russia, member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Sports of RUSSIA. The Health Day at the Exposition will end with a concert by the Surganova and Orchestra band.

The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. During the entire time of the exposition, guests are welcomed with cultural events, a rich business and educational program. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors.
