On May 12, a concert "Lugansk Region - the Cradle of Donbass" was held in Pavilion No. 75 in the Cultural Projects Zone. The cultural event was timed to the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Lugansk People's Republic.

In a video message, the head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik reminded about a difficult and challenging path the residents of the region had to go through in order to become part of the Russian Federation.

"We have determined our own future - to be with Russia. And all these years we defended this choice. We went to our goal through a huge number of trials and losses. In the fall of 2022, a new life of Lugansk region began - we returned home to the friendly family of Russian regions. Today we are actively establishing a peaceful life. I am sure that the next decade will mark a period of development for our region, and we will be able to contribute to the prosperity of our Motherland," Leonid Pasechnik said.

The folk dance ensembles "Rhapsody" and "Zironka" from the city of Lugansk performed before the guests of the Exposition. Through their creative numbers, the artists showed the history and heritage of the LPR - from the Lugansk region's contribution to the victory in the Great Patriotic War to the miners' labor and folklore traditions.

The folk dance ensemble "Rhapsody" was established in 1933. Its repertoire is very diverse, art is inseparably connected to the present, and choreographic canvases reflect the history of our city and its feats. In total, the ensemble's repertoire includes more than 20 choreographic numbers: folk dances, as well as lyrical, joking and other dances.

The folk dance ensemble "Zironka" was founded in 1945. The repertoire of the group consists of various choreographic compositions and is constantly replenished with the best samples of national art. The collective not only preserves the traditions and spirit of folk art, but also enriches them with modern images and rhythms.
