Admission campaign to universities, technical schools and colleges launched at the Exposition

The 2024/2025 admission campaign was launched at the RUSSIA EXPO on June 20. The specialized ministries and agencies presented the innovations that have been introduced this year and told about the opportunities that are open to applicants.

More than 1200 higher education institutions and 3800 colleges across the country are available for enrollment this year, said Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia. According to him, school graduates now have ample opportunities for self-realization — in particular, they can choose such fields as science and technology, engineering, IT, medicine, pedagogy and many others.

"In total, this academic year more than 620 thousand budget places are available for higher education programs and about 740 thousand for secondary vocational programs. In-demand education today is available to everyone, regardless of the constituent entity in which you live. More than 73% of the budget places are open in regional universities," said Dmitry Chernyshenko in his video address to the graduates.

Great opportunities for those who enter colleges are provided by the project "Professional Competence", emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister. Employing companies participate in all stages of training future professionals. By September 1, the number of "Professional Competence" clusters in 79 regions of Russia will reach 370, and the total number of project partners will exceed 1.6 thousand enterprises. In addition, targeted training at universities provides guaranteed employment after graduation. Moreover, the project "Advanced Engineering Schools" is being implemented on the basis of advanced higher education institutions - it provides an opportunity to conduct real scientific research for large companies alongside studies.

Admission of documents to universities for 2024/2025 started on June 20. It will last until July 25. Competitive lists will be published until July 27. Universities will stop accepting original documents at the main stage of enrollment on August 3. Enrollment orders will appear by August 9.

Applicants can take advantage of the super service "Admission to University Online". With its help it is possible to submit documents to five universities out of 1075 possible — in each you can choose five specialties, including paid directions. Since this year, it is also possible to conclude a contract for target training online. In 2023, 383 thousand people used the portal. On the very day of the start of this year's admission campaign, the portal received 10 thousand applications.

Since June 12, the stand "Go to University" has been working on the Exposition site — here you can not only submit documents for admission, but also attend lectures, masterclasses and interactives organized by more than 40 leading scientists, doctors, teachers and representatives of other specialties. The exposition will be open until July 8.
