Famous collectives of the Istra urban district performed at the Exposition
On May 26, the "Sounds of May" concert was held on the Main Street Stage. Famous collectives of Istra urban district of the Moscow region performed for the guests: the brass band named after the Merited Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Roman Oleksyuk (conductor - Yuri Zdrogov) and the ensemble of majorette-drummers under the direction of the Merited Worker of Culture of the Moscow region Liliya Bykova.
"Our ensembles are very happy to be present at this wonderful Exposition. We have seen many concerts held at this venue and we also wanted to perform for the guests of the RUSSIA EXPO," said Liliya Bykova, Merited Cultural Worker of the Moscow region.
The main goal of the groups is to popularize wind music as an accessible form of musical art in Russia, continuity and development of domestic traditions of wind music.
Both popular songs and compositions and patriotic works dedicated to Russia, Motherland and the world were performed.
Liliya Bykova separately noted that the artists of the groups could not remain indifferent to what is happening in the Belgorod region.
"Our today's concert is also aimed at supporting the residents of the Belgorod region. With our concert and our art we want to support Belgorod residents facing problems," emphasized Liliya Bykova.
Earlier the RUSSIA EXPO announced the beginning of the campaign "Belgorod, Our Hearts are with You" and fundraising for residents affected by shelling. To make a donation, it is enough to follow the link. QR codes, by which it is possible to transfer funds, are demonstrated at the stands and expositions of the RUSSIA EXPO. Funds are collected to the accounts of the public organization "Holy Belogorye Against Childhood Cancer".
The aid will be used for expenses related to treatment and rehabilitation of citizens affected by shelling in the Belgorod region, including expenses related to care for the seriously ill and prosthetics.
Young participants of the workshop "Modelling — a Prototype with Your Own Hands," held on May 31 at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The history of Russian architecture, bold concepts, and Soviet urban planning projects realised across the globe were presented to delegations of the exposition on May 31.
The award ceremony for the winners of the All-Russian video essay contest "Dreams of the Future" will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA on June 1, International Children's Day.
