From November 4 to 6, 2023, the federal educational marathon of the Russian "Knowledge" Society — Knowledge.First — will be held. The marathon will start on the opening day of the International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH in Moscow, where the main achievements of the country will be presented. The event was established by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, and all 89 Russian regions, federal departments, corporations, foreign delegations and public organizations will take part in it.

"The international RUSSIA EXPO is appealing to every Russian. Visitors will be able to learn more about their native country: its achievements, natural riches, people and traditions. For six months the territory of VDNH will become a miniature projection of Russia, because all 89 regions of the country, federal ministries, corporations will be represented at the exposition, large-scale educational and cultural programs will also be arranged. We live in a great country, we have a lot to be proud of. Everyone should know about it", — said Natalia Virtuozova, director general of the Autonomous noncommercial organization «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"».

The Knowledge.First marathon will be held on six sites of the RUSSIA EXPO in different pavilions. Everyone will be able to attend the marathon events — registration began on September 4 at marathon.znanierussia.ru.

The first 10,000 registered participants will receive invitations to visit the marathon studios at VDNH, and viewers from all over the country will be able to join live broadcasts of lectures and discussions on the website of the "Knowledge" Society and in its VKontakte community. The Russian "Knowledge" Society is the general partner of the exposition’s educational program.

The main theme of the marathon will be the modern achievements of our country and its citizens, which contribute to the development of Russia and increase its international prestige. According to a well-established tradition, outstanding scientists, heads of major companies, successful entrepreneurs, masters of culture and art, state and public figures will share their experience at the Knowledge.First marathon. The lecturers will talk about innovations in science and technology, progressive solutions in the economy and security, significant improvements in the social sphere, education and healthcare. The mentors will also discuss with young people what contribution to the progress of Russia can be made by every person aiming at self-realization with their ideas and actions.

"Russia is a great country that is actively developing despite all obstacles. And the fall marathon Knowledge.First will tell about the breakthrough discoveries of our compatriots at the present stage. During the three days of the program, leading experts from different spheres — from culture and art to science and business — will talk about the achievements of Russians in the XXI century. We will also discuss how today’s youth contributes to progress and what every person who strives to find his or her vocation and achieve self-realization can do for Russia’s further prosperity", — said Maxim Dreval, General Director of the Russian "Knowledge" Society.

This fall marathon will be the sixth for the Russian "Knowledge" Society. More than 850 lecturers shared their experience and knowledge during lectures, discussions and master classes at previous marathons, including Dmitry Peskov, Tatyana Golikova, Dmitry Chernyshenko, Vladimir Medinsky, Sergey Kravtsov, Sergey Lavrov, Maksut Shadaev, Ramzan Kadyrov, Viktor Sadovnichy, Fyodor Bondarchuk, Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Mashkov, Konstantin Khabensky, Konstantin Ernst, Evgeny Kaspersky, Sergey Karjakin, Khabib Nurmagomedov and many other authoritative mentors.

Over the two years, more than 50 thousand young people from different regions of our country, including the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, have attended the educational marathons.

According to the established tradition, the lecturers communicate with the most active participants of the marathon and answer questions from the audience. Other formats of interaction include communication in small groups, as well as the participation of young people in the work of the "youth directorate", which, based on the impressions of participants, forms proposals for the program of the next marathons.

A significant result of each marathon is the creation of relevant educational content, which is added to the digital library of the "Knowledge" Society. To date, online broadcasts from five marathons have garnered over 580 million views.
