The competitive selection of guides and tour guides from the regions for work at the International RUSSIA EXPO has started. Applications are accepted from August, 18 on the website of the Rosmolodezh program "More than a Trip".

Specialists from 22 years old are invited to participate: professional tour guides, guides-interpreters, museum staff, self-employed authors of excursions, animators and presenters from event agencies, senior students of universities and colleges in areas related to tourism and hospitality, sightseeing and museum business, local history, foreign languages, acting.

"The RUSSIA EXPO is the largest event that will uncover energetic, creative and truly inspiring tour guides from different parts of our country. For the first time we are launching a large-scale contest for this purpose", — emphasized Ksenia Razuvaeva, head of Rosmolodezh.

The guides, who have passed the selection and training, will conduct excursions at the RUSSIA EXPO sites for official delegations and children’s groups. They will also be involved in work in the pavilions of the exposition, the flagship guest center, and VDNH information centers.

About 600 excursions will be conducted at the exposition every day for six months, said Natalia Virtuozova, director general of the Autonomous noncommercial organization "Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements 'Russia'".

"The educational thematic routes in the field of energy, ecology, art, technology have been designed especially for this purpose. A gastronomic route will also be introduced. Special attention in the tour program will be paid to the younger generation. Schoolchildren will be able not only to learn about the culture and traditions of the people of Russia, but also to try their hand at different professions. In total, more than two thousand guides will introduce the guests of the exposition to modern achievements and cultural heritage of our country", — Natalia Virtuozova said.

Competitive selection will be held in two areas: "Moscow and Moscow region" and "Regions". Participants from the regions will be compensated for travel, accommodation and meals in Moscow.

Involvement of the country’s guides in work at the exposition was supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
