The National Centre RUSSIA announces reruns of the podcast "Dialogues about the Future" on Radio Russia
On August 2 and 3, listeners of Radio Russia will have a unique opportunity to hear two episodes of the podcast "Dialogues about the Future" once again — a project by the National Centre RUSSIA. The broadcasts will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 to 19:00.
First episode: "Science and science fiction — allies of the future" (August 2, 18:00)
Saturday’s broadcast will feature the first discussion of the series, focused on the interplay between science fiction and real technological advances. The programme explores how literary works inspire scientists and shape our expectations of future technologies.
The host — Valery Fedorov, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Financial University and Director General of VCIOM — will discuss the topic with renowned experts:
- Sergei Lukyanenko, well-known science fiction writer and member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation;
- Maksim Nikitin, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Head of the Nanobiomedicine division at Sirius University.
Second episode: "Medicine of the future: from nanorobots to immortality" (August 3, 18:00)
Sunday’s broadcast will take listeners into the world of tomorrow’s medicine. As part of the lead-up to the II International Symposium "Inventing the Future," experts will discuss revolutionary transformations in healthcare.
Valery Fedorov will once again moderate the discussion, joined by:
- Danila Medvedev, futurologist and Director General of the NeuroCode Group;
- Dmitry Telyshev, Professor and Director of the Institute of Bionic Technologies at Sechenov University.
Both episodes are part of a large-scale project by the National Centre RUSSIA, which brings together science, technology and futurology to shape positive scenarios for the future. The rebroadcasts will allow a new audience to discover this unique content, while those who have already heard the original broadcasts will have the chance to revisit the key ideas and discoveries.
