The National Centre RUSSIA prepares to open in the Ryazan Region

The National Centre RUSSIA in the Ryazan Region will open on 5 October. The branch will become the first space of its kind in the Central Federal District and the fourth in Russia, as well as a new attraction for residents and visitors to the region.

The two-storey building, covering 9,500 square metres, will become a place where the past meets the future, culture and creativity meet science and technology, and tradition meets modernity.

"The branches of the National Centre RUSSIA are being created on the instructions of our President, Vladimir Putin. We are delighted that Ryazan is opening its own National Centre: there is much here to be proud of and much to tell residents and visitors about in this strong region with a centuries-old history, where history and traditions are respected and the future is viewed with confidence. At the new branch, everyone will discover the Ryazan Region in a new way: schoolchildren will take their first steps in science here, students will find like-minded people, public figures will discuss new projects, and scientists will discuss future breakthroughs. I would like to thank the Governor and the entire regional team for their involvement and support in integrating the branch into the urban landscape and the main tourist routes," said Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA Natalia Virtuozova.

Governor of the Ryazan Region Pavel Malkov emphasised that the region was among the first to support the initiative to establish branches of the National Centre RUSSIA, while the concept for the space was developed with the support of a dedicated working group and expert agencies. The head of the region thanked the National Centre RUSSIA team for its comprehensive support and methodological assistance at every stage of the project's implementation.

"This space brings together history, culture and traditions, outstanding people from the region, and its achievements of both the present and the past. Everything we are proud of and hold dear. It is important for us to showcase not only the legacy of our region, but also the Ryazan Region as it is today. Above all, the Ryazan Region is its incredibly talented, hardworking and caring people, who are creating new projects today and developing science, industry, agriculture, healthcare, education, culture and sport. The National Centre RUSSIA branch is a place where the past becomes the foundation for a conversation about the future and where the region's achievements become part of the broader story of our great country," noted Governor of the Ryazan Region Pavel Malkov.

The main attraction at the new branch of the National Centre RUSSIA will be the "Soul of Ryazan — Heart of Russia" exposition, which will take visitors on a journey through different historical eras. Art objects, installations and immersive shows will bring the tour to life, allowing visitors to take a virtual hot-air balloon flight over the Ryazan Region, step aboard an aircraft and feel part of the region's great history.

The space will regularly host workshops, educational and cultural programmes, and temporary themed expositions showcasing the region's most important projects. Visitors to the branch will also be able to explore the flagship Department Store RUSSIA project, featuring a collection of unique products from Russian manufacturers from across the country.

"In its work, the branch will follow the key principles of the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow in both its ideas and content. The Centre has already become an expert hub and an institution for promoting values, as well as a venue for all major events and sectoral forums, cultural, educational and public-engagement initiatives. The space of the branch in the Ryazan Region will make it possible to hold events of any scale," noted Alexander Lukin, Head of the National Centre RUSSIA branch in the Ryazan Region.

The new space is located at 26 Oksky Proyezd, Ryazan, within walking distance of the Ryazan Kremlin and the Ryazan VDNH. It will become part of a major pedestrian tourist route connecting historical sites, public spaces and the city's key attractions. The programme for the branch's festive opening is available on the website and on the social media accounts of the National Centre RUSSIA branch in the Ryazan Region — on MAX, VK, Odnoklassniki and Telegram.

Branches of the National Centre RUSSIA in the regions of the Russian Federation are being established on the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. These innovative spaces are designed to showcase the achievements of the country and its people, provide a platform for open dialogue and inspire new accomplishments in all areas of life. Particular attention is given to supporting modern technologies and traditional values, as well as the comprehensive development of children and young people.
