The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates the Chuvash Republic on its 105th anniversary
Today, on June 24, the Chuvash Republic celebrates its 105th
anniversary. The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates the residents of the
region on this significant date. The Day of Republic was officially established
in 1995, when the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Chuvash
Autonomous Region was celebrated.
"In Chuvashia, where 128 ethnic groups live in
friendship and harmony, the whole Russia, with its rich diversity of cultures,
religions, and languages, is reflected as if in a small mirror. Our republic
has always been famous for its hospitality and vibrant cultural traditions.
Tourists choose Chuvashia — and this is confirmed by figures: the tourist flow
has increased 1.7 times in five years. The region has been developing
dynamically, and is ranked the 6th in Russia in terms of industrial production
growth. The number of enterprises in our republic has increased 2.5 times. We continue to create new tourist sites, and
are happy to invite everyone to discover the hospitable and unique
Chuvashia," said Oleg Nikolaev, Head of the Chuvash Republic.
There is a special connection between the National Centre RUSSIA and the Chuvash Republic. At the International RUSSIA Expo, the "Embroidered Map of Russia" made in the region was presented. It united the entire country on an artistic canvas, and became one of the main symbols of the Expo. The multimedia interactive installation "Live Map of Russia" greeted guests at the arch of the main entrance to the VDNH. The original map, which included more than 200 types of embroidery and more than 200 types of materials, was presented in VDNH Pavilion No. 75, where expositions from all regions of the country were shown.
Today, a copy of the "Embroidered Map of Russia" installation greets visitors to the "Journey Across Russia" exposition, and this year another map of the country, a musical one, will be presented in the space of the National Centre RUSSIA. It will be made of pieces by 89 composers, each of whom will present musical business cards of their regions. Cultural and artistic figures were inspired to create and promote the new large-scale project "Modern Musical Map of Russia" namely by the implemented art project "Embroidered Map of Russia". The culmination of the new cultural initiative will be a large-scale gala concert at the National Centre RUSSIA on the Day of People's Unity.
The II All-Russian Wedding Festival took place at the National Centre RUSSIA, featuring official wedding ceremonies, along with a series of themed events.
