The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic on the Day of the region
Every year on 1 September, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic celebrates the Day of the region. This holiday was established in 1997 by Resolution of the Parliament of the Republic No. 172-P-P on the occasion of the adoption of the new Constitution.
"For the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, the Statehood Day symbolizes a path our republic has traveled as part of the Russian Federation. This is a time of great achievements in the economic, social and cultural development of the region. We are proud of both the achievements of previous generations and the successes of our outstanding contemporaries. The people of Kabardino-Balkaria strive to contribute to the development of their small homeland, as well as of our entire great and beautiful country," said Kazbek Kokov, Head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
He stressed that the exposition "Journey Across Russia" at the National Centre RUSSIA is another way that unites Russians and leads to the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, the most mountainous and hospitable region. Kazbek Kokov said that more than a million tourists from all over Russia come to the resorts of the republic every year, and the locals are sincerely glad to welcome every guest — these are the traditions.
The Kabardino-Balkarian Republic is a part of the North Caucasus Federal District, which is represented at the "Journey Across Russia" expo at the National Centre RUSSIA. A stone arch from the Aktoprak mountain pass, which is located in this republic, usually attracts the visitors' attention. This place is shrouded in many legends. For example, one of such legends says that the Great Silk Road went through this pass, so many merchants hid their treasures there.
Guided tours of the "Journey Across Russia" exposition are available free of charge upon prior registration. All details are available on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA in the "Events" section.
