The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates the Moscow Metro on its anniversary
On May 15, the Moscow Metro celebrates its 90th anniversary. Over the years, the Moscow metro has become an integral part of life for every resident and visitor of the capital. Hundreds of new trains and stations help passengers comfortably reach any point in the city every day. Today, the capital's metro is one of the largest in the world, comprising 16 lines, more than 300 stations, and over 65,000 employees. The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates the Moscow Metro on its anniversary.
Many stations of the Moscow metro have historical value and tell residents and visitors of the capital about Soviet monumental art. Some of the larger stations even offer the possibility of holding wedding ceremonies in the metro.
It is worth noting that earlier, the National Centre RUSSIA and the Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development released a themed "Unified" ticket for travel on Moscow transport. A total of 100,000 tickets were issued.
The ticket was designed in the signature style of the National Centre RUSSIA. One side of the ticket featured the logo of the exposition "Journey Across Russia." This exposition showcases key achievements, innovative developments, and cultural, natural, and historical landmarks from all federal districts of the country.
The "Unified" ticket is a universal travel document that allows guests and residents of the city to use various types of public transport in Moscow: the metro, the Moscow Central Circle (MCC), the monorail, trams, and buses. The ticket is not valid for travel on the Moscow Central Diameters (MCD).
Admission to the exposition "Journey Across Russia" is free. All details are available on the National Centre RUSSIA website in the "Events" section.
On May 16, the National Centre RUSSIA will host a presentation of the gastronomic festival of pollock "O!Mega Taste," which will be held for the third time.
