The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates the people of Tatarstan on Republic Day

On 30 August, the Day of the Formation of Tatarstan is celebrated. On this day, the Declaration on State Sovereignty of the Republic was adopted.

"This holiday embraces representatives of many nationalities and faiths living in peace and harmony in Tatarstan, as well as our fellow countrymen who faithfully serve, work, and study outside the republic. Wherever we may be on 30 August – this day unites us with a feeling of pride and love for our homeland," said Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Rais noted that in Tatarstan, innovation is combined with wisdom: people remain faithful to traditions, yet open to bold ideas, and therefore move forward. The achievements of the republic are the result of the coordinated work of every resident, he emphasised.

Tatarstan is part of the Volga Federal District, which is represented at the exposition "Journey Across Russia" at the National Centre RUSSIA. The exposition features traditional Tatar costumes. In addition, it presents the Embroidered Map of Russia — a canvas measuring 3.3 by 6.7 metres, consisting of 89 elements. Visitors to the exposition can admire Tatar embroidery, which uses floral ornaments and a multitude of colours.

Among the Tatarstan displays at the exposition "Journey Across Russia" is a replica of a racing KAMAZ truck. Inside, visitors will find a 5D cinema where they can follow the journey of the truck from its assembly on the conveyor belt to an extreme race through the African desert. KAMAZ is manufactured in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny.
